chest- program be adopted, funds would not be raised until fall. Financial aid to worthy civic and benevolent institutions would come from the chest in 1922, instead of numerous separate financial appeals.

INTEREST REVIVED IN HORSESHOE PLAYING

Indorsement of a move to establish horseshoe courts in the parks of Rich mond was made by Mayor Zimmerman Monday morning, the movement to be carried on through the park boards and recreational committees of the city. Efforts are being made by the Indiana State Horseshoe Pitchers' association to revive interest in the blacksmith's game. " If the game is well received by the ;public, local teams will be affiliated with the state body. Homer Marsh, state president, in a letter to the mayor states ' that in one city eight 10-men teams have been organized. Business men -and --everybody is trying to get in. The park board has built four large, and two ' women's courts, he states.

FOUNTAIN CITY PLANS MEMORIAL PROGRAM

Decoration v Day at Fountain City will be observed, Sunday, May 29. Judge William M. . Sparks, of Rushville, w!ll give the address in the K. of P. hall at 2 o'clock. . The Liberty male quartette, of Richmond and the Richmond city band will furnish the music. It is the special wish of the G. A. R. veterans, of the committee in charge, and of the people of Fountain City that the soldier boys of all the wars feel a cordial invitation to take part in the exercises of the day.

Mrs. Kate Drischel Dies;

Funeral Services Tuesday CAMBRIDGE CITY, May 23. Mrs.

Kate Drischel, age 65 years, an old

resident of Cambridge City, died at the Martinsville Sanitarium Saturday

evening at 9 o'clock. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. She leaves three sons, Paul, Don and Drex.
