A Woman Sold a Davenport Four years ago she paid $27 for this davenport. The other, day she decided with her husband to buy a new settee. But the question of what they would do with the davenport came up. Her husband objected to buying a dew piece of furniture because they would have to throw away the davenport, which was still good and usable, but of which they had become tired.. "Well, 111 sell it," said this good. wife. And she advertised it one evening in the Household Goods for Sale column of The Palladium, and before 10 o'clock the following morning it was gone and she had four $5.00 bills in her hand. Thus $20 secured from the old davenport went a good ways toward the new piece of furniture. Read the Household Goods columns in The Palladium and then prepare a small advertisement and phone it in to The Palladium. Just ask for our special ad taker. Phone No. 2834. The cost is small.

The directors have published an appeal to the people to refuse to accept mutilated bank notes. , . We Sold More Cars This April than Last More Davis Cars were made and sold in April 1921 than in April 1920 Every car buyer is vitally interested in the reason for this The Davis is extraordinary value at a low price.

Public appreciation of value of the sheer dollar-for-dollar value that has placed the Davis in the very front rank of its class pushed Davis sales for April, 1921, well above and beyond the splendid sales for the same month last year. In the clamor of hundreds of conflicting claims and assertions, the actual and demonstrable value that ve have built into the Davis has established itself as without a parallel. Greater sales are the proof.

We reduced Prices last Jannary

On January 1st, 1921, Davis prices were reduced without waiting for material prices to come down, without waiting, until the buying season was at its height and many cars

had been sold at advanced prices. Since January 1st the Davis has been sold at a price based on the new 1921 reduced costs of production.

Why Davis

prices are low Jg eL

Davis prices are low because we have the resources and the

mate-

prices. Da

vis prices are low because we have been able to reduce production costs through manufacturing efficiency. Davis prices are low because our overhead and selling costs are low.- We were in position to take advantage of the break in the prices of materials. The Davis today is made from 1921 materials, bought at 1921 prices, and sold for 1921 prices.

Our resources Tthe Davis com? Is strong company financially. buy Value lt has the and the resources to make a car of exfor yOU ceptional value and to con tinue making it. This company has no large volume of preferred stock outstanding to eat into its revenues, absolutely no indebtedness whatsoever of any character on which interest must be paid to the expense of the car we produce. A dollar spent for a Davis buys a dollar's worth of motor car. We can buy and sell economically. The 1921 Davis is sold at the lowest price possible for its quality. It cannot be sold for less without sacrificing somewhere in its construction. The Davis represents the greatest value in the automobile market today, and we solicit your comparison of the Davis with any car, at any price. Your comparison will enable you to appreciate the extraordinary value of the Davis. Davis sales are at a high peak. The public knows value and appreciates it. That is why Davis sales are so great. Forty new distributors have recently applied for distributing ' rights to this car. They know automobiles, they know the attitude of the buying public, and they know that the Davis is the answer to the demand for a car of value at a fair price. Before you buy a car, compare the Davis with any car compare it by any standard, compare it point by point. See if you can buy anywhere so much for so little. Then you will know why so many Davis cars are being bought why our Aoril sales this year were greater than in April, 1920.
