ENGLAND WILL FAVOR AMERICAN VISITOR DURING NEXT SEASON LONDON. April 15. -First rtgnos of spring in England nave purred the transportation companies and the tourist agencies into a fever of expectancy and all eyes are turned toward America, yhicn Europe regards as the haunt of the millionaire. ; Visitors from the United States are promised much in the -way of accommodations, with, conditions approximating those in pre-war days prevailing. Hotels and pensions again will have plenty of rooms on comparatively short notice, and passport ceremonies are shortened. Relax Restrictions. Incoming passengers are still closely supervised by British port authorities, hut the examination, is much less exhaustive ' than last season. Then it was necessary for an American citizen to go to the trouble of getting a passport even when" embarking for his native land. Such a procedure is no longer necessary. Police restrictions in the British Isles aleo are relaxed, registration being required only if a visitor intends to remain more than 50 days, and railway facilities are greatly improved in Schedules and travel accommodations. At this date, no steps have been taken toward organized welcome for Araericarf'tourlsts because it is believed they .can be taken care of adequately by the regular institutions for this purpose. No detail will be overlooked, however, it is pointed out, to insure comfort for all --who touch British thores this season. Only Rich Travel. , Travellers to Ireland, it is said, will be taken care of as far as it is physically possible under the circumstances. Tourist agencies are quite frank in admitting that only ihe well-to-do are financially able to bear the expense of travel 'at present when a first class cabin, ticket costs approximately to0 one-way. ' ' ... ..:... -4 Thy sayjhe tourist traffic last year vas practically without the large numbers of school teachers and professional people who came to Europe formerly to spend the summer weeks in travel nd study. These folks, they say, can not pay the prices it is necessary to charge to make . the tourist business pay, and there are no signs now that travel will be cheaper in tha near future, ' ;' It is also ' believed; possible, that many persons will be deterred from isiting Eumpe this rammer because o,f the unsettled condition of business nd X? international economic affairs. However, indications are, it is . said, tlhat more tourists will want to see Surope in 1921 than can be handled, in spite Of "the high cost of living. In this' connection, the advantage Americans have in view of the favorable exchange is pointed out. Many ships have been added to the trans-Atlantic service since last sum-

THROWN ON CHARITY DOG SUPPORTS FAMILY CLEAR LAKE, Miniu, April 15. "When the owner of a dog and nine puppies turned them out without food and refused to feed them any longer, the mother dog did just what a human mother would have done in similar circumstances. She went from door to door begging food for her little ones. The dog would scratch at the back doors of Clear Lake houses and when opened 6he would look into the face of the person who came and then at her half-starved puppies, telling as eloquently as she knew how that they were in need. Her appeal was always heeded and food was provided for the wanderers. But in every instance the mother dog, hungry as she must have been, refused to touch any of the food until her little ones had all they wanted. The case was reported at length to Sam F. Fullerton, executive agent of the Minnesota Society for the Prevention of Cruelty, who investigated the story and found it true in every par
ticular. Mr. Fullerton compelled th-o dog's owner to take her and her puppies back to provide enough food for them.

Bringing Up Father" Book
is Published in Colors George McManus's famous comic 6eries "Bringing Up Father" has at last made its appearance in colors in the most attractive form of any of this kind of book that has as yet been published. The phenomenal success of the small black and white "Bringing Up Father" books, which have broken all records in the publishing trade, encouraged Mr. McManus to produce a bigger and more pretentious collection of his cartoons from the Sunday newspapers. Three series of the black and white "Bringing Up Father" book have been sold, over 2,500,000 copies, a figure which makes the average best seller's record look faint. While Mr. McManus was in California last summer his New York representative telegraphed him. "Your Bringing Up Father book has passed the two million mark." Mr. McManus telegraphed back.
work, but if you mean sales, tell my publishers to wake up." Not quite sure whether Mr. McManus was joking or not his representative telegraphed. 'I mean sales. You've beaten Shakespeare" To which Mr. McManus replied: "What newspaper does he draw for." In his new color book, which is half the size of a newspaper page, Mr. McManus records the laughable doings of Jiggs, Maggie, Daughter and Dinty Moore in greater detail than the pages of the smaller book permit. The pictures are splendid!y colored, and well printed, and the book is of a kind to be kept for future laughs. Uniform with the new "Bringing Up Father" book in colors is the latest Katzenjammer Kids collection. This is the first new Katzemjammer book published in ten years, and will be welcomed by children. The Katzenjammer Kids have been running in the newspapers for 25 years, and their popularity seems to be as great as ever. Both these books are Published by the Umbee Distributing company. 141 East Twenty-Fifth street. New York, at 60 cents each.

Robbed of the firm flesh and healthy development of girlhood by long hours s.nd hard work, many a woman is fast losing her physical strength, her mental vigor and all claim to being attractive. The haggard, drawn look around her eyes, the hollows in her cheeks and neck, the stooping, bony shoulders, a chest that is sunken and arm? that are scrawny all of these tell only too plainly how, for want of one vital element of nourishment the vitamines her body is rapidly "burning itself up." Although vitamines exist in many raw foods and vegetables, they are almost totally destroyed in the heat of everyday cooking and, therefore, never reach you. Kut, once you increase the nourishing power of what you eat by supplying these precious, health-giving vitamines in the hishlv concentrated form known as VITAMON", you provide exactly what Nature intended to feed the shrunken tissues, the
wornout nerves, the thin blood, and the starved brain. An amazing change often takes place in a remarkably shm space of time. If you want to quickly get some firm, solid flesh on your bones, fill out the hollows and sunken places with a strong, healthy tissue, have a well-rounded face and figure and an abundance of energy, you can easily prove just what VITAMON will do for you by making this simple test: First, weigh yonrself and measure yourself. Next, take VITAMON" two tablets with every meal. Then, weigh and measure yourself again each week, and continue taking VITAMON regularly until you are satisfied with your gain In weight and energy. It is not only a question of how much better you look and feel, or what your friends say and think the scales and tape measure will tell iheir own story. Remember that there is no substitute for vitamines just as there is no substitute for fresh air, fresh water or sunlight. IMPORTANT! While the amazing health-building value of VITAMON has been clearly and positively demonstrated in cases of lack of energy, nervous troubles,-anaemia, indigestion, constipation, skin eruptions, poor complexion and a generally weakened physical and mental condition, it should not be used by anyone who OBJECTS to having their weight increased to normal. A. G. Luken, Thistlethwaite's, Dafler Drug Co., Quigley's and all other good
druggists have VITAMON in stock
