WINCHESTER. Ind., April 9. The American Legion have asked the citizens of Randolph county to observe Xmeric&nlzation week April 11 to 15. There will be special exercises in all 'he schools of the county on Friday. April 15. Each school giving a patriotic program, at the close of which a formal retreat and lowering of the flas will be held outside the school buildings, under the direction of the ex-service men of the community. An Ail-American Day wilt be held in this city on Sunday. April 17, when the various American Legion posts of Randolph county will co-operate in an all-day program. A band concert in the afternoon will be a special feature. At night a mass meeting will be held in the Main street Church of Christ, when former United States Senator Albert J. Beveridge will be present and deliver an address. Buggy Catches Fire. A rather unusual occurrence took
place at the Peaceful Valley church. Sunday morning. While Sunday school was in session, the buggy belonging to Ed Brown caught fire, supposedly from a cigaret dropped in the robe and was burned to the running gears before the flames were discovered. The horse was released before it suffered injury. The Peaceful Valley church is several miles southeast of this city. Red Men Meet. The District meeting of the great Council of Indiana Improved Order of Red Men was held at Ridgeville. Thursday. The tribes of the counties of Jay, Blackford, Delaware and Randolph meeting there. T. O. O'Connor exemplified the unwritten work. A large crowd attended.

FARM LABOR STATUS 'DECIDEDLY EASIER'
(By Associated Press) WASHINGTON, April 9. The farm labor situation in the United States i? "decidedly easier" than it has been for three years, it was announced today at the department of agriculture Reports to the bureau of crop estimates April 1, showed that while the percentage of normal supply was 95.2 the relative demand was only 87.5. and ratio of supply to demand was 108.8. The south reported the labor supply in excess of the demand notwithstanding wages. The western states generally also reported wages considerably reduced over last year and the supply ample. Indiana and Illinois fanners were said to be practising strictest economies,- while Idaho said wages were "going to be reasonable and there is no shortage.
