tute vhich commences April 28, is in session today. About S50 canvasses will be reviewed and from that number officials announce, approximately .356 will be selected. Henri Eugene Le Sldaner of Paris has been granted the one man exhibit award. Twenty-live of the French artist's works will be placed In a room apart from the principal galleries. A memorial group of five or six paintings of the late J. Francis Murphy of New York will have a place at the exhibit. The International Jury follows: WslliAxn Nicholson and George Clanson. London. Wills, a niece of William Demoss, and her daughter, Mrs. Phoebe Foster of Madison, Neb., were guests of Mr. and Mrs. William Demoss Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Noel Mathews and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Smith were entertained at dinner Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hartly. . .Mr. Isaac and family from Richmond have moved Into the Dearth property in the southwest part of town Mr. Nels Carleson planned a very successful surprise party on his wife, which was carried out by about forty of her friends Sat urday evening, the occasion being her birthday anniversary. A jolly evening was spent with her. Cake and ice cream were served as refreshments. . . Mrs. Frank Hatfield was pleasantly remembered by a birthday party given by members of her family Friday evening, who took baskets of good things to eat and went to spend the evening with her. Those present were William Mathews, Noel Mathews, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Hatfield, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Mathews, Emma Logue and family of Richmond, Mr. and Mrs. John Fox, Mrs. Mark Stevens, Kendall, Frances and Paul Mathews and Betty Turner of Dayton.... The "Young Stars" have planned a very Interesting program for the evening, of readings and musical numbers. This will be followed by a well planned social hour of games and contests and refreshments.
