Daniel Billman. of RidgevUle.. testified to two men compelling him to get off the sidewalk at the time of the robbery, but failed to Identify Kelley as one of them. - , ..." Thomas Odle. a director of the bank, vtho was present when the robbery took place, failed to identify Kelley as one of the robbers. John O. Carpenter, keeper of a garage in Ridgeville. who was struck over the head with a revolver vhen fee got in the way of the robbers when they were leaving the bank, could not identify Kelley. but thought Kelley wis the man who struck him. Miss Elsie Riddlebarger, bookkeeper, and C. C. Brooks, cashier, failed to identify Kelley. The bank officials gave conflicting testimony relative to the time elapsing during the robbery-, some saying it was seven minutes and others as long as 15. Part of them testified that the Inner doors of the vault were closed and a light burning inside, while others testified to the contrary. - Charles O. Gamester, a rural mail carrier from the Ridgeville postoffice. testified that he met a machine which is claimed to be the one the robbers used. The defense will declare that the 35 minutes between the time Gamester met this machine would not have been sufficient for them to have gone to Ridgeville. robbed. the bank and to have been four miles east of town. The state baa two more witnesses, and they expect to ret their case by Tuesday noon. The weather being suitable for farmers to sow oats, the court room was only comfortably filled Monday.
