FRANKLIN DOES HONOR TO CHAMPION QUINTET FRANKLIN, Ind., March 22 The Franklin high school basketball team can have anything it wants in this town. After winning the Btate title for the second time in as many years it is no wonder that, this place thinks its boys are about the best in the state. And Franklin is doing all in its power to show the members of the champion five just bow well it thinks of them. Saturday night a crowd of about 3 000 persons met the victorious squad ac the town square and bonfires were built, yells were given and even the old canon gave vent to its feelings with an awful roar. Tuesday at the regular weekly luncheon of the Kiwanis club the players are to be guests of honor. Coach Wagner will bo called upon for a talk and the late tourucy will be gone over in detail. It is a pleasant subject in this town. Some of the boys will be asked to tell how they did it also. In Coach's S. S. Class. Wednesday night the M. E. Sunday school will give one big banquet for I he team. This is especially appropriate because every member of the team belongs to the Sunday school class of Coach Wagner. There are more reasons than one why Franklin again has won the honor of basketball champions of Indiana. A Persian weaver spends about three weeks on each square foot of the surface of the best rugs. REDS ARE CONGENIAL; PAT'S SUGGESTIONS CARRIED OUT QUICKLY CISCO, Tex., March 22. Pat Moran's crew of Redleged ball players were back in Cisco Monday to wind up their three weeks at this training camp, with two more scalps hanging to their belts. With the exception of going to Breckenrldge Wednesday the Reds will remain here until Friday night when they will break camp and start on their way north and will say goodbye forever to the town of Cisco, because of the breaking of the contract with the Reds. The White Sox games seem to make it certain the Reds batting is all O. K and during the rest of the training season- here, Moran will try to strengthen, the defensive play of the 5 team. The one thing that worried Pat the most was the fear that Crane would be a little weak on the hitting end of the game. This is not fretting him much these days as Sam, once array- ! ed as a regular, is applying the bat to me 01a norsemae with ereat en thusiasm. Sam gets over the reservation at a lively clip, gathers all kinds of impossible chances and is evidently determined to make good on sheer HOW TO REDUCE VARICOSE VEINS Many people have become despondent because they have been led to believe that there is no remedy that will reduce swollen veins and bunches. merit and not on the luck that gave him the opportunity. -' - The Reds are the best natured, most harmonious crowd of ball players that has been in a Red training camp for many seasons. Since the boys are the best of friends and most of them, incldently fond of their manager, the proper spirit will be built up for the season, the spirit that builds up against obstacles and wins long extra inning games. Pat has only to suggest, and they carry out the idea. Quick thinkers, too, the newer players, full of mental agility. You don't have to tell Sammy Bonne what to do next and he won't stand with the ball in his hands until: the play has passed.- 'The quiet Denny Williams is the least talkative of the group, yet has a' world of in telligence and shows signs of being a heady resourceful ball player. Bub bles Hargrave pulls off so many quick thinking stunts that Pat Is full of enthusiastic praise for the new catcher. In short there are no steel helmets in this aggregation.
