Little Dick Kerr could not pick up where he left off in the fall of 1919. when he blanked the Reds in the third game of the world's series and achieved fame as the only one of three regular White Sox pitchers who was not mixed up in the baseball scandal. The Reds, who are hitting them to all corners of the lot this spring, found him not so effective, piling up 11 hits off him in the five rounds he worked, for five runs before he was relieved by Hodge. Fisher and Brenton were on the hill for the Reds and neither one was hit with much effect Two runs were scored off Fisher on two errors, one by himself and two runs were scored off Brenton on errors.who was hit much harder, but managed to keep the hits well scattered. The Reds put up some classy work in the field, featured by some good throwing by Wingo and a couple of fast plays pulled off by Bonne at the hot corner. The longest and most effective hitting was done by Duncan and Bohne, the latter scoring a triple in the first frame which sent in a run, and later he scored on Duncan's long fly to right. Duncan's triple in the ninth sent in two more runs. The Sox scored in the first on two hits and a wild throw by Fisher and again In the fourth on a pass, a single and a fumble of a hard chance by Bohne. They bunched three hits for two runs off Brenton, in the seventh, and this wound up their scoring for the day.
