FOUR GAMES REMAIN ON EARLHAM'S CARD; METHODISTS COMING Earlhara's basketball team will make Its next to the last appearance on the local floor this season when it plays the DePauw five at the Coliaeum Tuesday night. This garae gives promise of being one of the toughest encounters the Quakers have stacked up against this year. DePauw has suffered a defeat at the hands of Wabash, as did the locals, their comparative scores with other college teams of the state also point to the fact that they are evenly matched. The Tigers have one decision over the Maroon, which was gained the Greencastle floor, this being an added Incentive for the Earlbam team to win, if possible. The Earlham lineup probably will be the same as that starting the Wabash game, although Coach Mowe refused to announce anything definitely before the contest. It is known that DePauw carries a line of goal cagers that will take the strongest possible defense to stop. Four more battles are on the Quakers' schedule. Feb. 22 DePauw at Richmond. Feb. 25 Butler at Indianapolis. Feb. 26 Dentals at Indianapolis.

March 3 JnranKiin at uicnmona. Friday and Saturday the Quakers will invade the capital city, having the set object in view of collaring the Butler Bulldog on Friday and extracting a victory from the Dental Tooth Pullers on the following evening. The . prospects of the Franklin Baptists are expected to be deluged in the closing encounter of the season's campaign on March 3. Aa to the chances for victories in the closing stages of the season. DePauw and Butler hold a slight edge over the Quakers by reason of early season wallops while the Thurberites and Heze Clark's tossers have been vanquished by the Quakers. However, the Mowe-men have been adept at dope spilling this season and another attack of that malady is due at any time. DePauw and Butler will need to watch their step. The fast flying Butlerltes are leading in the I. C. A. L. standing by virtue of six victories and no set-backs whtto Earlham ranks second with two

wins and one loss. Other members of 1

the league have the results or tw or more encounters chalked in the loss column. Friday night the Quakers were defeated by the best team in the state Wabash. The Scarlet has gained this recognition by victories over Purdue. DePauw, Notre Dame, Butler and Earlham.

Little is known of the strength of the soldiers but they are said to have a classy aggregation of ball tosaers and a hard fight is promised for the wearers of the red and black. Coaches Harrington and Parker are holding daily workouts for the red and black warriors and all will be in excellent condition for the fray with the exception of O'Neal, who is not likely to get into action Wednesday night because of an infected knee. Centerville has a victory over the Brownsville five this season, and a lively scrap is predicted. There will be no reserved seats for the scrap Wednesday night and the price of admission will be 50 cents. The first game will start promptly at 7:30 o'clock.
