Mr. Mohr is a song writer whose songs are in every home and his partner Miss Vermont is a statuesque beauty with a ccloratur soprano. Those two people put on an act that the audience enjoyed very much. Their songs were a mixture of jazz and classical, and were very good. Mr. Mohr's song of "Its Never Dry in Havana" and his description of "How they will be teaching school in the future" made decided hits with the audience. This act should be enjoyed by all. Waiman and Berry in "A Treat in Music" made a decided hit with the audience in the Thursday afternoon performance, with their stunts on the piano and violin. very difficult stunts, and were roundly applauded for their efforts. MURRAY. Eileen Percy scored a big hit yesterday at the Murray theatre, where she appeared for the first time in her latest William Fox production, "The Land of Jazz." Here is a picture with a wealth of humor In it humor of the sort that compels recognition and dispells gloom. The scenes on an island where a Dr. Carruthers is obserbing patients mentally defective are among the funniest ever presented on the screen. The patients on the island are made up of men who Jiave overindulged in new fads. This is a picture worth seeing. A fine cast supports Miss Percy. MURRETTE Clara Horton, the demure sixteen-year-old miss who plays opposite Charles Ray iD his third independent production, "Nineteen and Phyllis," which is now showing at the Murrette Theatre, is the youngest girl who has ever been chosen to appear opposite a male star. In addition to a charming personality, Miss Horton is probably gifted with the sweetest disposition of any girl in motion pictures. Miss Horton vvas playing with Mr. Ray's pet dog. Whiskers, while waiting to be called onto the set. Whiskers, it seems, be came a little too affectionate, and as a result of his antics, Clara found herself with a badly torn gown. But if any of the studio employees expected an outburst from the little miss, they were sadly mistaken. All that came from Clara was, "Whiskers, you little rascal, you'd love me if I were in rags!" Mr. Ray is delighted with the splendid performance which the young lady has given in "Nineteen and Phyllis," A HOME-MADE GRAY HAIR REMEDY You Can Make a Better Gray Hair Remedy Than You Can Buy. Gray, streaked or faded hair is not only unbecoming, but unnecessary. Anyone can prepare a simple mixture at home that will darken gray hair, and make it soft and glossy. To a half-pint of water add 1 ounce of bay rum, a small box of Barbo Compound and U ounce of glycerine. These ingredients can be bought at any drug store at very little cost, or the druggist will put it up for you. Apply to the hair twice a week until the desired shade is obtained. This will make a gray-haired person look twenty years younger. It is easy to use, does not color the scalp, is not sticky or greasy and does not rub off. Advertisement. Undigested food delayed in the stomach decays, or rather, ferments the same as food left in the open air, Bays a noted authority. He also tells us that Indigestion is caused by Hyperacidity, meaning, there is an excess of hydrochloric acid in the stomach which prevents complete digestion and starts food fermentation. Thus everything eaten sours in the stomach much like garbage sours in a can, forming acrid fluids and gases which inflate the stomach like a toy balloon. Then we feel a heavy, lumpy misery in the chest, we belch up gas, we eructate sour food or have heartburn, flatulence, water-brash or nausea. He tells us to lay aside all digestive aids and instead, get from any pharmacy four ounces of Jad Salts and take a tablespoonful in a glass of water before breakfast and drink while it is effervescing and furthermore, to continue this for a week. While relief follows the first dose, it is important to neutralize the acidity, remove the gas-making mass, start the liver, stimulate the kidneys and thus promote a free flow of pure digestive juices. Jad Salts is inexpensive and is made from the acid of grapes and lemon juice, combined with lithia and sodium Phosphate. This harmless salts is used by thousands of people for stomach trouble with excellent results. Advertisement.
