DARKE COUNTY CALVES, TO BE DISTRIBUTED FOR FEEDING CONTEST - GREENVILLE, O., Feb. 1. Thirty prize winning calves, which were purchased at the Denver cattle Bhow a fehort time ago by commission merchants for the Darke county fair board have arrived in this city, and are at present quartered in the stable at the fair grounds. These calves are to be used in the 1921 calf feeding contest for this county, which will culminate at the fair next summer. Notice has been given that all the Darke county boys who wish to enter this contest must be at the fair grounds on Saturday, Feb. 12, to receive the calves allotted to them. The cattle are Herefords, and none received lower than third prize at the Denver cattle show. Hittle Will Is Filed. The last will and testament of Jacob Hittle, deceased, late of Vine s-treet, this city, was filed for probate and record in Judge Younker's court. The will provides for the payment of any debts that he may have left, and the residue of his real and personal property to be sold, one-half to go to his widow, $500 to Martha Hittle, and the remainder of the money to be divided between his four children. Mar tha, Walter, Bertha and Mary Hittle. The will was made and executed Sept. 25, 1920. Boze Suit Delayed. The damage suit of Boze vs. Klser, for $175, alleged to be due the Bozes for injuries sustained when their buggy was struck by an auto driven by Kiser some time ago, which was postponed until Saturday from last Friday, has again been postponed by Judge Teegarden. The common pleas court is at the present time occupied with the trial of Gutermuth vs. Starker, which has proven to be more lengthy than was anticipated. The Boze suit is now postponed indefinitely as no other judge could be secured to hear the case. Wife's Love Worth Nothing. Namen Lannich, of Versailles, places his wife's love and affection at no value. In a voluntary petition in bankruptcy, filed in the United States district court, Lannich lists his debts as $1,215, and his assets as nothing. In a schedule of his other debts, under the heading of "other claims and their value" he has listed "alienation of wife's affection." Conflicting Statement Made. Lee Mogato filed an answer- to a suit brought in common pleas against him for $5,000, by Bertha Sarleman, the sum representing damages alleged to be due the plantiff as the result of being struck by a motor car driven by Mogato. Mrs. Harleman alleges that Mogato was driving at a high rate of speed and that he was careless, all of which lie denies in his answer to the suit. He states that he rented the car from David Kendall on May 4, 1919, and that while near the soldier's home at Dayton he was diiving at a low rate of speed, when the plaintiff stepped in front of the car. He asserts that (he accident was caused through no negligence on his part, but through the carelessness of Mrs. Harleman. John F. Maber is attorney for Mogato. It is alleged that 1,000,000 cubic feet a day more thaa formerly will be put into the lines, and that nine more wells are being drilled in the Virginia fields. This will be a welcome relief for this city, as gas is almost too low for cookng purposes or

Expressive face, a fine person of elegant simplicity, a sonorous and flexible voice, grace of action, intelligence in the interpretation and embodiment of dramatic art and personage, vivacity, sustained power, and a personal magnetism that eludes definition, but always manifest and enthralling to the spectator. The soul of a musician, the eye of an artist, the wisdom of a sculptor all are blended with wonderful harmony. The sympathetic quality of hi3 voice and the genuine artistic and hearty quality of his acting, charming poise, one of the great men who gave himself with entire devotion to the drama, who brought the ripest, richest learning, the most fervid eloquence, the most varied attainment. Back of every great dream, he was a master of men, with the soul imagination and genius big enough to dream ahead, to vision it in its entirety, to plan its detail and to execute its materialization". There is no test of a man's ability in any department of public life more severe than service in the drama world real men and artist is discovered, his worth is impartially weighed, his rank is irreversibly decreed. Guy Bates Post's subsequent dramatic career sustained its brilliant beginning he has won a valuable reputation, and is heralded today the greatest English speaking dramatic actor and a "star of the first magnitude." Mr. Post will be seen at the Washington Theatre in 'The Masquerader," Feb. 8, matinee and night. WASHINGTON Ta's pretty frisky after all! There are lots of self satisfied young fellows who seem to think their fathers are out of the running until something happens to wake them up. That's what occurs in "An Amateur Devil," Bryant Washburn's new Paramount comedy which will be displayed at the Washington theater next Friday and Saturday. Carver Endicott, a rather too precise young man, tires his fiancee with his "peples3" love-making. In desperation she announces her engagement to his father, a gay wilower. Carver decides that the olny way to end the match is to disgrace the family so the girl won't dare marry into it. He tries various sorts of "disgraceful work," even to accepting a job as buss boy in a restaurant, only to find that instead of being thought less of, the newspapers made great capital of his "example to the pampered and lazy workingman!" Of course, everything comes out all right after a series of typically Washburnian situations, replete with humor.

The turn of the story is novel and the j whole production is most excellently cast. Ann May is the leading woman. MURRETTE. The stately Dolores, said by experts on feminine beauty to be the most perfectly formed woman In the world, appears in a scene of "While New York Sleeps," an eight-reel Fox Special, to be shown at the Murrette Theatre Wednesday. The famous beauty is seen during a dance number of "The Midnight Frolic," a big Ziegfeld production now current in New York. This number was filmed by courtesy of Mr. Ziegfeld himself. ' Charles J. Brabin, the director, assembled his cameramen on the roof of the New Amsterdam Theatre to be in readiness for the conclusion of the show. Lights had been reinforced by sy special illuminating apparatus necessary for filming and at 1:30 in the morning arrangements , were finally completed and the cameramen began to crank. Brilliant scenes taken during the height of festivities at the Palais Royal, a famous' New York cafe, are also used in the second episode of "While New York Sleeps." MURRAY VAUDEVILLE. John F. Conroy and sister, Lillian, present several vaudeville acts in one, at the Murray theatre, the first half of this week. Their offering consists of poses, together and separate, dancing, singing and aquatic feats. Several of the most clever poses were "The Gladiator," "Wounded," J and the first pose of the lady, the title of which we could not see. Mr. Conroy is a man of remarkable physique. He exhibited an unusually well corded mass of muscles. His trunk, shoulders and arms prove him the well-built man he must needs be to handle his sister with such ease. One pretty scent is registered when the young lady sings, while close by her side stands the well known type of Russian wolf hound. Diving stunts wherein both take part, are most worthy of mention. Vaudeville's "Beau Brummel," Lar-! ry Comer, entertains with many songs. The quality of his voice is generally better than the same ingredients in his songs. However, if we judge rightly, his voice accomplishments are to be used for fun rather than tears. His song for the women, "No Matter How Humble, I Like My Form Best," and for the men, "You May Have Your Better Half, but I'll Keep My Bachelor Quarters," are both winners. A number of laughs are won from the audience by Conroy and O'Donnell in "The Parcel Postman." A negro and a straight postman held the stage for a series of comic questions and answers prompted by the pledge of the "Slip-it-to-Me" secret order. Melody is produced by the two men in a song or two. "Tanning the Hide," Swatting the Leather," or "Jabbing the Orb," .might each or all fit as a title for the act ! of Jean and Arthur Keeley, for prac tically their full time is passed in putting the punch into a series of i punching feats. Arthur wins as a bag j puncher when he keeps four bags I jumping at once, using both knees coughs and other symptoms are often experienced by a person after a spell of sickness, particularly the Influenza and Pneumonia. It indicates you are in a rundown, debilitated condition and it is very dangerous this time of year. The reason why so many prefer Hypo-Cod is because it is a newer, more modern and more powerful tonic and besides being stronger is nicer to taste. It agrees with weak stomach. Earle's Hypo-Cod contains, solvable extractives of Cod Liver Oil, Hypo-phosite-s of Lime, Potassium, Manganese, Strychnine. Juinine and Sodium, Malt Extract, Wild Cherry Bark extract and Iron. It dots the work days and weeks sooner. Chemists assert it is the most powerful, pilataMe and effective, digestive, nutritive, reconstructive, strengthbuilding tones and blood enricher Piadp.
