One of France's mo6t learned savants describes, analyses and dissects a kiss in all its phases in a thirty-two nage treatist just printed in La Mercure. He arrives at the astonishing conclusion that people kiss on the lips from the force of habit and not because the lips are the most sensitive part of the human body. In the white race the kiss is above all achieved by touch and its characters may be affectionate or social. Courts have been trying for years to set a financial value on a kiss. .
