Among the notable social events of
next week for the younger people will be the three parties, Mrs. Charlie Kolp is riving for her dancing clubs in the ball room of the Eagles club. The first for the children's class, will take place Tuesday afternoon from 3 to 5. Pupils of Miss Elizabeth Kolp will give a short program of fancy dancing for the pleasure of the children during tho afternoon; The sola dancers who will lake part in the program "are Miss Jsicile Steers, of Greensfork, who will give two dances, "Hungarian Czardas" and "Roses and Butte'-fly." Miss Rettie Taylor will give recitation and dance, "Comin Thru the Rye", and Miss Martha Ann Gennett will do the "Dance of Spring." A ballet "Vanity" by Miss Mary Louise- Bunnell, of Hagerstown. will complete the program. A Christmas party for the Friday evening class will be given by
Mrs. Kolp Wednesday evening from 7 to 10:30. A New Year's Watch paiy for the same Friday evening class will take place Friday from 8: SO to 12:30. Friends of Mrs; Kolp and of the pupils are invited to attend these holiday parties. A special, six piece orchestra will play for the Christmas dance Saturday evening in Odd Fellows' ballroom which Mr. and Mrs. Bert Kolp are giving. The hall has been elaborately decorated for the occasion. The affair will be semi-formal. As usual the balcony will be open to spectators. The Country Club dinner dance Monday evening promises to be one of the biggest events of the holiday season. Over 100 reservations have been made for dinner that night. Pryor's orchestra of Eaton, will play for the dance. A still larger number it is expected will attend open house New Year's afternoon. The marriage of Miss Ruth Pauline1 Gieseking, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gieseking. of Indianapolis, to Joseph Smith, son of Mrs. Mary Smith of North Eighth street, will take place Friday in Indianapolis. Mrs. Myron Crane entertains th Delta Theat Taus with a Christmas party Tuesday evening.
The Loyal club will meet Wednesday evening at the Moose home. Every member is invited to come and bring a Christmas exchange and picnic lunch. Miss Ruth Boyd, who is teaching school at Danvill, arrived home Friday to spend the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Boyd, of South Fourteenth street. Mrs. W. E. Bell and Miss Constance Bell of Wayne apartments, will have as holiday guests Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Scott McDonald. Miss Virginia McDonald, Miss Elizabeth McDonald and Malcolm McDonald, of Huntington, W. Va. Miss Virginia McDonald is coming from South Hadley, Mass., where she is attending Mount Holyoke college. Miss Ellen Dickinson will arrive Saturday from Barnard college. New York City, to spend the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jonas Gaar. Russell Jenkins, attending Michigan
university, returned from Ann Arbor Friday to spend his vacation here. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Doer of Indianapolis, are holiday guestB of their daughter, Mrs. W. A. Ellis. Mr. and Mrs. J. TT. Cox of North Sevents plret. will entertain Mrs.
