AUSTRIAN EMPORER WRITES SUPPORTERS! EXPECTS TO RETURN
(By Associated Press) : BUDAPEST, Dec. 23.- Former Emperor Charles, of Austria-Hungary, has sent a letter to his supporters here encouraging them in the hope that he will he restored to the Austro-Hun-earian throne. - "Powerful agents are at work to restore the Austro-Hungarian monarchy and thereby prerent the Anstrians . Irom joining Germany," the erstwhile monarch wrote from Pragins. Switzerland, where he is still In exile. "Walt patiently, our trusty and wellbeloved, the circumstances are favorable and with the help of God I shall return to my faithful Magyar' subjects.' The letter was brought by a confidant to Charles' adherents headed by Prince Louis Windischgraetz, Cotmte Julius Andrassy and Baron Joseph SxterenyL In it he warned his . partisans against making alliances or conspiring with adventurers because, he wrote, he had no doubt about the ultimate victory of the legitimistic principle.
