The club has gone to considerable expense in producing the play , in order that their first production will be one of , the most complete ever given at. the college. Miss. La Verne Jones, of this city, who has had previous experience In , producing plays, has been secured to assist with the make-ups and the costumes. Miss Jones has spent much - in the employ of an Indianapolis designing house.

William Gaines Funeral Will be Held Monday William Theophilus Gaines, 89 years old, colored, died at 5:30 p. m. Thursday, at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Samuel Weston, Greenwood avenue, Richmond. He had been a resident of Richmond for 56 years. He is survived by one son, William A. Gaines, of this city, and four grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from the Wesleyan church at 2 p. m. Monday. Burial will be in New Paris. Maszie Haas, Former Matron of Earlham, Died Thursday Maggie Haas, 68 years old,' at one time matron at Earlham college, died Thursday night at Reid Memorial hospital. She was born in Richmond in 1852 and had lived here all of her life. She practiced nursing. She was a member of the First Methodist church. Funeral services will be conducted from the pailors of Doan and Son at 10 a. m. Monday. Burial will be in the Lutheran cemtery. Friends may call Sunday afternoon and evening. The Rev. R. W. Stoake3 will officiate.

Affidavit of the plaintiff in the case of Paul H. Frist vs. Annabel Frist, on application by the defendant for money for the suit was received by the court Friday. The case is a suit for divorce and custody. Report of sale of real estate in the case of Grace I. Cooney vs. John L. Craig et al petition for partition was received and approved by the court Friday. Second paragraph of the complaint in the suit for divorce of Homer Miller against Mary Miller has been filed in circuit court.
