A number of piano selections were played by Mrs. Becknell and a light luncheon was served to the guests who were Mr. and Mrs. Earnest, Mr. and Mrs. Parker, Ed Lamb and Mr. and Mrs. Becknell. Mrs. W. W. Gaar and Mrs. John Nicholson will entertain the Daughters of the American Revolution with a reception at the Hotel Westcott Saturday afternoon. Miss Anna Bradbury will read a paper on "Russia." "Mrs. John Adams" will be the subject of a paper on "Women of the White House" which Mrs. W. W. Qaar will read. The Union Bible class of the First English Lutheran church meets Tuesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lee B. Nusbaum on North Eleventh street. , The Luther league of St. Paul's Lutheran church will meet Thursday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Klmm. 509 South Tenth street.
