AT EATON WILL BE PERMANENT AFFAIR

Not. 25 Members of the Harding Glee club, composed of high school .girls, organized during the late campaign by the Women's Harding Study club, have effected a permanent organization and will in the future meet once a' month. Permanent organization was effected by electing Olive Druley, president; Blanche Thompson, vice president; Ruth Freeh, secretary; Cora Brownlett, treasurer; Mrs. J. F. Miles, manager; Miss Hattie Truax, assistant manager. The next meeting of the club will be held Dec. 7 at the home of Mrs. J. F. Miles. The Women'sHarding Study club will meet in regular session next Monday night, at which time several important matters will come up for discussion. , Partners' Equity Meets. stockholders in the Eaton Farmers' Equity company, made up of farmers of Eaton and immediate vicinity have re-elected the old board of directors for the ensuing year. They are: Silas Q. Buriff, Howard Hart, Charles Paddack, George Morningstar and Frank Dalrymple. Dalrymple succeeds Harry Fultz on the board. He stated that profit from the business warranted payment ot a 3 percent patronage dividend,- which means ZM cents on each dollar's worth of business done with the company by the - stockholders in grain sold and merchandise purchased.. Tax Amounts Given. Upon a tax duplicate of $50,909,120 County Treasurer C. E. Samuels will collect from " the taxpayers of the county $908,279,56. The total duplicate includes collections on delinquencies, specials " on" ditches, street improvements, etc. Direct taxes of $881,951.80 will be collected. Distribution of this amount, according to S. E. Fowler of the taxing department of the office of County Auditor S. C. Hunt, will go to the following taxing divisions in the following amounts: State, $117,090.98; county, $224,999.13; townships, $101,674.15; villages, $54,C53.9S; schools, 384,532.56. From the state's portion will come back into the county between $60,000 and $70,000 for distribution among the several school districts. Auto Strikes Boy. Robert Brower, young son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Brower, is in Reid Memorial hospital, Richmond, Ind., recovering from the effects of a broken leg, sustained early Tuesday evening when run down by an automobile in the street in front of his home in West Main street. Identity of the driver of the car has not been learned, as he did not stop after striking the lad. The child's left leg was broken in two places and he was severely bruised. Soon after the accident the child was found in a helpless condition in the street by A. J.

Superintendent John O'Leary, of the Eaton public schools, will attend the Western Ohio Superintendents roundtable meeting Friday and Saturday in Dayton., Mr. O'Leary is chairman of the executive committee. - Catron Back From Service. After four years' service in the regular army, Harry, L. Catron, of Camden, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. K, Catron, has received his final discharge and has arrived at his home from Camp Funston, Kas. Catron enlisted in 1916 in Columbus, O. He saw service overseas with the 56th infantry. Markey, Homan, in Frat. Richard I. Markey, West Alexandria, and Walter Homan, Lewisburg, have just been admitted to membership in the Pi Nu Epsilon fraternity, the honorary mathematical fraternity of the Ohio State university. New Army Store Coming. Eaton is to have a new commercial business the Eaton Army Store, which will be established in the Central Hotel block, according to public announcement.
