The Anglican and Ionian literary societies were represented by three speakers who were as follows: Edwin Teale, "Our College Speech"; Paul Helronimus. "What Shall We Do with Slang?" and Mahlon Harvey, "Our National English." The Phoenix band prepared a number of stereopticon slides, showing the common mistakes in English made by college students. In order that the Diamond Jubilee, to be held at commencement time in 1922, may properly commemorate the seventy-fifth anniversary of Earlham College, the May Day pageant planned for next spring has been postponed. The daily mineral salt needs of the human body are 10 grams of salt, 4.37 grams of potash, 3.23 grams of phosphates. 1.2 grams of sulphur, 1 gram of lime, .02 grams of magnesia and .01 gram of iron.

The condition of Mrs. Homw L. Morris, who has been severely 111 as the result of an abcess of the inner ear, la reported to be Improving. Although the patient's condition is not critical, she is suffering from extreme pain and it will be some time before she will be -able to be around again. Mrs. Morris is being attended by Dr. E. E. Holland, local ear specialist. Mrs. Gertrude Walls, Danville, Ind., sister of Mrs. Morris, who has also been suffering from ear trouble, is recovering rapidly. ; L Successful Services At Nazarene Church Reports from the revival meetings being held at the Nazarene church indicate that very successful services are being conducted by the Rev. F. W. Cox, evangelist. The Rev. Cox preached three sermons Sunday. Twenty-three persons accepted the call to service in the church. His sermon Sunday night was especially strong.
