ITALIAN MINISTER SAYS LEAGUE'S FATE DEPENDS ON PEOPLE

: (By-Associated Press) LONDON,-Nov. 12. The fate of the tLeagu of Nations, depends upon the moral . co-operation of those peoples

'who, Inspired by a true eense of Jus

tice, are conscious of the necessity for solidarity In International rela

tions. Count Sforza, Italian minister of foreign affairs, has written In a

circular letter, to, Italian ;: diplomats abroad. In his instructions to Italian diplo

matic agents. Gaunt Sforza expressed

his ideas ;on. the' league, speaking of the realization of its imperfections by

the states which contributed to its i formation and of the necessity for the " admission of the states not yet mem--bers In order that the league's author- ' ity can be assured and its structure perfected. As a result of bitter criticism and loud praise of the league, there has been considerable scepticism of the now Institution, wrote Count Sforza, therefore making the diffusion of exact knowledge of what the League of Nations really is the more valuable for restraining diffident and sceptical censors as well as superficial and irresponsible eulogists. He continued: Higher Degree of Law "It is necesFary to Instill the firm conviction that the new institution, which has been Invoked for centuries by the Italian philosophical and legal

doctrine, represents a higher degree

of the evolution of law based on a higher unity than that of the state. The creation of a League of Nations aims at-securing the integrity of its members and maintaining international peace. It does not, therefore, exclude the hypothesis of war; it excludes it as the supreme right of the strongest, - as the supreme appeal to violence, as an event abandoned to the caprices and vicissitudes of fortune; -it adrhit3 it, on the contrary, as ftn affirmation of the moral power of right for re-integrating the community of states broken by the disturbances of International peace, and thus its function comes to correspond to t.h penal function of each state within its own borders." Italian diplomatic agents abroad are informed that it is the duty of Italy to promote knowledge of the league. They are requested to report all manifestations regarding the league to the ppecial department for the League of Nations in the Italian foreign office.

The alleged Intention of the Council of Ambassadors to confiscate high speed Diesel motors in Germany, whether they are in a finished state and In use or in the process of construction, is to be made the Bubject of a diplomatic inquiry. This action follows the recent visit of an Entente commission to the big

Augsburg industrial plant for the pur

pose of requisitioning motors which

are subsequently to be dismantled or destroyed on the ground that they are suitable for submarines and therefore

war material.

A message from Munich stated that

workers on these motors were coming to Berlin to protest Against seizure of the Diesel stationary motors not usable for U-boat purposes. A semi-official statement says that the inhibition of the manufacture of the motors used for legitimate purpose would mean a heavy loss to German industry and result In a large number of workers being out of employment.

Two heating systems in one a warm air furnace built inside a heating stove, and the cost of operation less than in any ordinary heater. The diagram above shows how it works. Fresh air (Just as with a furnace) is drawn in through pipes on both sides of the stove, heated evenly to several lundred degrees temperature, and then discharged not through the flue and chimney, but through the Warm Air Chamber into the room. This creates a thorough circulation of warm air which will successfully heat several rooms (six or seven rooms in some houses). Even the upstairs rooms can be heated by the aid of a simple pipe connection. (See diagram). NOTE CAREFULLY THIS FACT: Not an ounce of extra fuel is required to heat the "Little Furnace." The warm air which it distributes is produced by heat which ordinarily is drawn up the chimney and wasted. It embodies ALL the good features of old-fashioned

heating stoves, and its own big, exclusive features in addition. Even without the wonderful Little Furnace it would be superior to any ordinary heater. It has a JOINTLESS ash box, which insures perfect fire control throughout the life of the heater. It has an ash pan big enough to hold a full twenty-four hours' accumulation of ashes. It has two Estate Patented Screw Draft Registers in the ash box door, which work with such exact precLeion that the heat in the Estate Hot Storm can be controlled as easily and accurately as the heat in a steam radiator. It has a double-strength fire pot, and an anti-buckling ring which prevents the drum from buckling. It is equipped with our patented tubular hot blast attachment, which cokes the coal, consumes the gases and soot and keeps the outer edge of the fire as intensely alive as the center. It is as good a floor warmer as the ordinary base burner, due to the scientific construction of the ash box and skirting.
