TASK FOR ASSEMBLY AT JANUARY SESSION

IXDIANAPOLIS, Not. 9. Reapportionment of the ninety-two counties of the state will be- one of the big tasks facing the approaching session of the General Assembly, which convenes next January. Under the provisions of the state constitution, the 100 members of the House Cand the fifty -members of the Seriate are " distributed among the counties every nix years on the basis o the number of male voters. A const itntional" amendment -will bo introduced including women voters in the enumeration. The apportionment made at this session of the legislature will be on the basis of an enumeration of voters made in 1919. Figures showing the fractional number of representatives and. senators each county will be entitled to under the new distribution have been prepared by Charles Kettleborough, director of the legislative reference bureau, for use in the state auditor's .office. Counties having less than the required rumber of voters are also entitled to joint ' representation for fractional numbers of voters over their full representation. Marion Gains Representative. Under the new apportionment, Marion county will gain one representative, increasing the county delegation from ten to eleven. It is possible, also, .that Marion county will have a joint representative with some other county. Take county will have one more representative, making the county delegation in thp lower House five instpad of four. Lake county also has a joint renresf ntatiro now and it is expected that, this additional representation . will be litd by the county. Marion county will probably not gain pnother Fonator, the present senator
