TNEXT WEEK AT THE HEATER

MURRAY VAUDEVILLE. A week of real vaudeville entertainment is to be provided Murray patrons opening Monday matinee. Two standard acts of big-time calibre are booked for the first-half. These are "Old Black Joe Land," revealing a scene in Dixie, comprising five people, featuring Happy Golden as the "wench," and Miss Viola Lewis, a springhtly comedienne, who produce the songs and dances of the Southland, and "The Girl in the liasket," a novel electrical offering wherein a beautiful girl floats out over the heads of the audience without any visible support and sings songs to those who smile at her. The two acts completing the bill are Bernard and Ferris, two comedians in "Out of the Kitchen," and Violet GouIet, "Dainty Vloliniste." Headlining the bill Thursday is "The

Story of the Hunt," a posing act presented by a white horse and English setter dogs. This act has proven an

artistic success upon the larger circuits this season.

The supporting acts will be Feiber

and Griffith in songs and comedy;

Gwen and Clark in "You Tell 'Em. Girlie," and Frawley and West, "Advanced Comedy Gymnasts," with Eileen Percy up on the screen In "The Husband Hunter." MURRETTE Pearl White, who has thrilled crowded houses all week at the Murrette Theatre in her big special, "The White Mofl, presented by William Fox, will bring her engagement to a close Saturday night. Written by Frank L. Packard, author of "The Miracle Man" the story of "The White Moll" carries an even stronger appeal than that noted production. The plot centers around Rhoda, a reformed crook, who turns settlement

worker. She becomes interested in a

released convict who is being forced back to his old life by the gang of which he was a member. Her experiences in saving him and laboring to

relorm other gangsters constitute a truly remarkable story. Richard C. Travers is the capable leading man. MURRETTE. James Young, who directed "Cur

tain!" the latest photoplay featuring Miss Katherine MacDonald, was before going into pictures a noted actor on the speaking stage. He appeared in "Brown of Harvard" and other

plays of that type, to say nothing of being acredited as one of the best "Hamlets" the American stage has

ever presented. 'Curtain!" will be

the First National attraction at the Murrette Theatre, beginning Sunday. MURRAY Marriage the ceremony that closes

many love stories, that opens many divorce cases is merely an incident in "In Folly's Trail,' 'in which sparkling Carmel Myers comes to the Murray theatre on Monday. Miss Myers, as the spirit of Folly, emerges from a champagne bottle at a week-end party in exclusive Westchester. A penniless artist gazes in Folly's eyes, and falls. Then Folly

beckons along the trail of marriage to the abrupt precipice of discord. Then

a denouncement with an ending that patterns after those of Grimm and Anderson after all. MURRAY "The Man Who Dared," the William Fox drama of the California Redwoods, ends its run at the Murray theatre Sunday. It is a story of lumberjack life. Real lumberjacks are seen in action in their own natural habitat among the giant trees that tower like cathedrals. One of them. Jack King, actually divides his time between acting for Fox films and riding logs for a living. "The Man Who Dared" is a fascinating love story.

David Bromley will be the Mayor of this wonderful land and it is his

duty as chief executive to see that

everybody is in good humor. In order to do this he will have Leo Geier and Victor McGuire to assist him in the gloom chasing until the Sheriff and

1 Deputy Sheriff of Jazzland. Steve

Tuttle and Benton Barlow arrive. This quartette of fun makers are bound to drive away the blues with their funny songs, dances and stories. Of course the mayor will have to be entertained and he will be royally entertained by f.ueh well known vocalists as Rauol

Barton Evans, the director of the

show, will be heard In a program of selected song. His singing is always a delight, for he uses great care in selecting his programs, and sings song

I that will appeal to the masses. Mr. j Evans is one of the best known baryj tones of the younger generation and i has appeared in grand opera, concert

and musical comedy in the United States, Canada and Mexico. He has been directing musical revues for the last five seasons.

The Saver of Cootie Hill, a timely ' burlesque, will introduce Joe Mulroney ' as Col. Pest, and Joe is sure to bring '
