age-worn axiom that youthful energy, rightly directed and guided, marches forward and on.ward. The participation of young men in the
affairs of civic life is no exception to this rule
In Richmond it will be given an application under the auspices of the Young Men's Business club. Most of us recall the energizing influence of a similar club which flourished here a number of years ago. All the activity of youth was packed into the organization, the result being that it served the community intelligently and with success. The new club has been launched under most auspicious circumstances. Included in the membership are the wideawake, alert, hustling members of the business and factory districts and their many associates. They have a definite aim before them service for their home city and cooperation with movements to advance the city's best interests. This purpose carries with it a dynamic force that will impel members to do their utmost to see that it is carried out in practice. The members believe in the theory of action and have dedicated themselves to that program. The club will become a distinct agency of promotion in our community. It will have the machinery of organization to get results quickly
HP 1 ? Talk , i oaay s By George Matthew Adams BROKEN ENDS. Many of us pursue life at least at times with a lost idea as to our own identity. Our purposes get crossed. And as tho dazed In confusion we only feel ahead. We tread In the midst of broken ends! The whole world at times staggers under the load of incomplete lives. But even In the center of confusion there Is always that divine spirit of harmony working in Its quiet way to make indivdual hearts happy, and thereby to smooth the entire way of the world. For, after all, the world 1 Just a great big person! Each day may be a beginning all over. The broken end3 of your yesterdays may be left in their places. The older men, who have done their part in the development of the city, welcome the new organization. It proves to them that the young men will not let the city lack for energetic hustlers and that the spirit of city building is not dead here. The young club has gotten under way to a flying start. Success is bound to attend its many enterprises. It will have the co-operation of the community, the warm friendly support of every well wisher of his own city. Backing the College

A three whose hungry mouth Is pressed Against the earth's . sweet flowing breast; A tree that looks at God all day, And lifts her lofty arms to pray; A tree that may in summer wear A nest of robins in her hair; Upon whose bosom snow has lain, Who intimately lives with rain. the Cigarette TF you are a cigarette smoker, and unacquainted with Lucky Strike, buy a package today, and find out for yourself why they are so popular. You will at once notice the delicious flavor of Burley tobacco, delivered to you absolutely fresh. IPs toasted.
OTPS
The Burley tobacco leaves have pores, like a sponge. When "it'a toasted" their pores are closed, the flavor sealed in, permanently. When you burn Lucky Strike in your pipe or cigarette, you are releasing' the original Burley flavor that was sealed in by toasting. Exactly that. Heat seals it in, heat releases it. You know how a bee seals in the flavor of honey with tho thin coating of wax. This coating holds in that delicious honeys flavor until it's used. Just so the toasting process seals in the Burley flavor. This flavor is preserved until you release it by smoking. A wonderful process and a great discovery for smokers.
