"WASHINGTON, Sept 17.Offlclals of the Anti-Saloon League here today made public an Incomplete list of can

didates for Congress against whom they

will wage battle because of the candidates'poattloa. on prohibition. . Wayne B. Wheeler, general counsel of the .league. In announcing the list declared' the league' policy to be that

every candidate not recorded as fav

orable to rigid enforcement would be fought "to the finish." Thomas Taggart, Democrat, who is opposing Senator James E. Watson, Republican, in Indiana, was - among

those named. Mr Wheeler declared it was "imperative" to defeat Taggart

and re-elect Watson. Frank Willis Favored. Former Governor Frank B. Willis, of Ohio, is to have the support of the

drys, according to Mr. Wheeler, who said the dry forces anticipated a real fight in Ohio in order to maintain

their strength in the senate.

Representatives Edward S.' Brooks, of the 20th Pennsylvania district, also

will be opposed by the dry workers. Stephen , G. Porter, chairman of the house foreign affairs committee, who comes from the 29th (Pittsburgh) Pennsylvania district, is now being attacked by the dry forces of his district Mr. Wheeler told the conference they had hopms of defeating him. Mr. Wheeler said the incumbents in the- 25th and 28th Pennsylvania and the fifth and 11th Ohio districts were satisfactory to the league, and that it was supporting their campaigns.
