Winston, 19 years old, insurance agent, was bound over to the Vanderburg county circuit court in $12,000, on charges of robbery, burglary and shooting with intent to kill. He waa unable to give bond. Winston entered pleas of guilty on all charges. Winston shot and seriously wounded Peter Herbert, wealthy coal operator, whose borne in this city he entered. Herbert struck at Winston when he encountered him in his house and the intruder then shot Herbert, the police assert. Winston is alleged to have said he needed money to enable him to attend dances. QUAINT NEW YORK QUARTER STRUCK BY JAZZ CURFEW NEW YORK, Sept. 2. Quaint Greenwich village.
