Shute, North Fourteenth street, and Frederick: T, Hollo-well will take place Saturday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Reid. nee Misa Sarah Addington, in New York City. Dr. Robert L. Kelly, former president of Earlham college, will perform the ceremony. Miss Florence Shute, sister of Miss Shute, left for New York Friday evening to attend the wedding. Miss -Shute and Mr. Hollowell first met at Earlham college, from which fhey hare both been graduated. Miss Shute has been a teacher. Mr. Hollowell who Is now with the Associated Press Service of New York, spent several months in Europe with the Friends' Reconstruction - workers and at one time was reported to have been killed. Men are wanted for Infantry service in Germany, with 20 per cent increase In pay; for Philippine air service, with the same pay increase; for service in the air, infantry, field artillery, engineer corps and coast artillery in Panama; and the same branches, with the exception of the last named, In Hawaii. Practically all branches are open for service In the United States. Seven branches are open for one or three years. All enlisting or re-enllsting for three years will receive a ?30 bonus.

WASHINGTON, Aug. 7 Great Britain is planning to spend nearly $600,000,000 on veterans of the world war during the fiscal year 1920-21, according to a memorandum of expenditures submitted to parliament received today at the department of commerce. For war pensions the memorandum calls for the expenditures of over $450,000,000, the largest item on the list. More than $33,000,000 is to go for out of work donations.
