EATON PUTS OVER 1921 CHAUTAUQUA; 704 TICKETS SOLD
EATON, O., Aug. 3 Eaton will have another Chautauqua next year, the local Chautauqua committee announced today. Pledges for 704 eeason tickets for next year, at $2.50 each, have been secured, the committee states. The number necessary was 700. The outlook for a 1921 meeting had not been very encouraging, but the committee succeeded in putting It across at the 11th hour. The eighth
annual Chautauqua closed last Sunday
evening. Spltler Services Are Held.

ler, 73, lifelong resident of Preble
county, who died Sunday night at her home, WeBt Somers street, were con
ducted this afternoon in Maple Grove church, near Gratis. Burial was In the
church cemetery. Elders Shoup and Babanlss, Dunk ards, conducted the services. Mrs,
Spitler had lived in Eaton the last several years. She was a sister of John Barnhart, of Eaton, who with two
grand-daughters survive her. Sues to Recover $300.

ry J. Thompson in a common pleas court action against Annella Thompson, has been ordered by common
pleas court. Plaintiff is decreed a half Interest in the realty. Public Sale Is Ordered. In a partition action brought by Mae Kapp against Shirley I Kapp and others, common pleas court confirmed appraisement of the realty, which consists of about 43 acres in Somers township, and public sale was ordered. The appraised value is $7,330. Brower-Shuey Suit Compromised. Compromise was n fleeted in a suit brought in common pleas court by Nettle Brower against F. G. Shuey, as administrator of the estate of the late Charles Fassenden, and the case was dismissed without record. Plaintiff sued to recover $1,472 for care and attention given the decedent during his last, illness. Budget Commission Visits Townships. Preble county's budget commission will visit the townships of Dixon, Israel and Somers, Wednesday, following a visit today to Twin, Lanier and Gratis townships. The commission will meet officials of Dixon township tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock in the township house. The Israel towns-hip meeting will be held at 10:30 o'clock in the high school building at Falrhaven. The Somers township meeting, including the village of Camden, will be held at 1:30 o'clock in the high school building in Camden. Thursday at 9:30 o'clock In the morning the commission will meet in Gaaler township, in the township house. At 1:30 o'clock in the afternoon a meeting for Washington township and Eaton will be held In the county auditor's office in Eaton. This will be the commission's last meeting, as all the townships. Including the villages therein, will have been heard regarding.their financial needs. The commisFiqn will then proceed to fix the tax lates for the year 1920. Primary Ballots Are Delivered. Ballots for the primary election In Preble county next Tuesday have been delivered to. the county election board end the board will meet next Saturday in Eaton to issue ballots, supplies and instructions to the presiding judges In each of the 32 voting precincts in the county.
