JAPAN GOING RIGHT AHEAD WITH PLANS TO INVADE SAGHALIN

(By Associated Press TOKIO. Aug. 3. There is no indication that Japan will refrain from carrying out military arrangements she ha made In dealing with the problems arising out of conditions in Siberia. The :ovi-rnment some time ago outlined to th-- world powers its policy re

garding Siberia, and in its forthcorn j Ing note to Washington will anp'H i statements it has sent to Eump a I capitals. This note. It is understood ,

here, will point out the purely !t-m porary character of the occupation by Japanese troops of points In the Sak

halin district. Possible misunderstandings abroad i

are apprehended here because of the fact that Uif city of Nikolaievsk, on the Siberian mainland coast, will be under control of Japanese military detachments. Nikolaievsk was formerly a part of th administrative district of PrlmorKkato, which vas in turn under the Jurisdiction of the Russian maratlme province. In 1914 however, the governor of the maritime province decreed with Imperial assent that Nikolaievsk should be attached to the district of Saghalin which was previously restricted to Saghalin Island. Since the district 1b t be placed under Japanese control, the city will be occupied by troops sent by this country, but it is probable their withdrawal to the island may be necessitated by the intense cold that prevails along the Siberian coast for most of the year. Japanese officials have been careful to explain to foreign newspaper correspondents here that the United Ftates was within her rights In askinp Japan to define her policy rejrardlni4 Siberia, as the two nations sent tro"iH to Siberia under an arrangement made at the suggestion of the Washington government.

GRATEFUL FOR RELIEF GIVEN AGED MOTHER

Miss Williams Is Happily Surprised by Trutona's Unusual Merit as Reconstructive Agency.

Evansville, Ind., Aug. 3 "I am glad and enthused over the good Trutona has done me, but I simply lack the words to evpress my surprise and thanks for the relief of my mother's

troubles," says Miss Sudie Williams, j who lives in Evansville, at 808 East Pennsylvania street. "My mother has suffered from cat-i arrh of the stomach and bronchial ; trouble for years. Because of her advanced age and the failure of so many medicines to do her any good, I had j almost despaired of her getting any i relief." j "I, myself had been constantly suf-, fering from stomach trouble for several years. When I'd drink water a lump seemed to form in my stomach, , and I'd belch terribly." j "Both mother and I are now eating things we never before dared to touch since taking Trutona. We both sleep soundly at night and neither of us is bothered with constipation any more. We're both certain we wouldn't have been sick so long had we known of Trutona sooner. Any one is welcome to call on us regarding the truth of this statement." Trutona's healthful action reaches every portion of the body, and performs its work faithfully and efficiently. Trutona rebuilds diseased nerves and tissues, creates a healthy app; -tite and assists In the assimilation and digestion of the food. Trutona is sold in Richmond at Quigley's Drug Stores. Many persons who had been out of school for a year or more while working In France, have made up a portion of the lost work. A number of those enrolled would have missed the schooling had it not been carried on during the summer. With the loss of the pupils taking the eight weeks' course, only about 20 will be left at the dormitories.

"TOGS" for School Days

CHOOL DAYS are just around the

corner and the ending of vacation to most youngsters has its retribution in that they are all planning on

starting the fall term with new clothes.

This is an important task to many mothers for the demands of such an occasion are many. A This store with its large children's department is ready with an event that promises both pleasure and joyfulness to these school folks. We early anticipated their wants and as a result have assembled here a truly wonderful display of attractive and serviceable apparel. During the month of August we want all these young folks to be our guests at the store. We suggest that any mother coming here to -purchase any article bring her boy or girl along. We know they will be delighted with our Juvenile Display. It will heighten their interest and make the joyful anticipation of returning to school a reality. This is our invitation to the young folks. See that they visit the store during this time. We know they will enjoy the surprise we have planned.
