EM SUE Monuments 15 South Tenth Street Phone 402 OBITUARY 1B OBITUARY Samuel Walter Roberts was born January 4, 1874. and died July 13, 1920. aired 46 years, 6 months, 9 days. He was the son of Samuel E. and Jane Roberts, and was born in the Pleasant 111 neighborhood, where he spent bis rntire ilia, except the last year, when e lived in Richmond. In September, 1898. he was married to Miss Lily Noffgrle. To this union were born five children, one dying at the age of five years. The deceased leaves ' to mourn his loss his three children, Roy, Faye and Mrs. George Kutb, of Dayton; his aged mother; two sisters, Mrs. Delbert Funk and Mrs. Norla Hunt, of Pleasant Hill: one half-brother, Willie Roberts, of New Paris; and one half-slater, Mrs. A. L. Reld, of Richmond. ' In early life he united with the T'nlted Brethren church in Pleasant Hill. To his children, he was all a father could he; tender, loving, and thinking only of their welfare. About one year ago, while crossing a street In Richmond, he was struck by an auto and severely Injured. Since that time his health has steadily declined, medical science being powerless to combat the internal injury. Early In the spring he bought a home near the pumping station, where he spent his last days with his daughter, Faye. The end came suddenly from uremic poisoning caused by the disease of kidneys. The funeral was held at the United Brethren church at Pleasant H1U and was conducted by the Rev. Mr. Huddle, of Phlllipsburg, assisted by the Rev. Mr. James of Richmond and the Rev. Mr. Welbaum of Dayton The pall bearers were Everett Reld, Willie Reid, Albert Daugherty. Verling Morrison. Fred White and Ethmer Reld. The Interment was In Sprlnglawn cemetery, at New Paris, Ohio. Leaves have their time to fall. And flowers to wither at the north wind's call. And stars to set. But Thou. Thou, hast all seasons for Thine own, O, Death!
