The Oraitf'l&elas club was entertained Tuesday evening by Miss Gertrude
Twelfth street. Miss Katherine Binkley was a guest. During the evening the hostess servetd a luncheon. The members present were Miss Helen Bentlage, Miss Kathryn Binkley, Miss Doris Puckett, Miss Esther Reid, Miss Helen Jessup. Miss Birdice Norris, Miss Helen McWhlnney, Miss Ogen Shelton, Miss Pauline Smith and Miss Helen Hazeltine. Miss Helen Jessup, North Twentieth street, will be hostess for the club in two weeks. Miss Alice Laning left Wednesday morning for Ogunquit, Maine, where Fhe will spend the remainder of the summer. Miss June Smith, of Newcastle, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Walker Land, North Fourteenth street. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Golz have as their guest Miss Katherine Holden, of Brazil, Ind. Mr. and Mrs. William D. Williams. William Williams, Jr.. and Miss Gertrude Williams have left for an extended motor txip through the east. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Ferguson, Miss Ruth Ferguson and Miss Mildred Whitely will leave Thursday for a two weeks' trip through the east visiting in Eagles Mere, Penn., Newark, N. Y., New York, Pittsburg and Washington, D. C. Miss Ruth Peltz will leave the latter part of the week to visit in Louisville, Ky. Mrs. Ruth Mashmeyer Hamilton, of Atlanta, Ga., is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Lee B. Nusbaum. Miss Barbara Bernhardt, of North Tenth street, is the guest of her mother, Mrs. Dorothy Vaughn Bernhardt, New York City. Miss Betty Price, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Price, has as her guest Miss Dorothy Marine, of Iowa. Mrs. Edward Williams and daughters, of .North Tenth 6treet, and Mrs. Charles Votaw are the guests of relatives in Chicago. Mrs. A. W. Gayle and son June, have returned from a visit in Kentucky. Mrs. S. E. Duffin and daughter Roma are spending the summer in Louisville, Ky. Mr. and Mrs. Clem Thistlethwalte have returned to Indianapolis after visiting with Miss Maude Thistlethwalte. All those who expect to attend the reunion picnic of the class of 1919 of the Richmond high school are asked to meet at the high school building at 2:30 p. m. Thursday. The Paul Hunt Post of the American legion will give a dance at JacTcson Tark, Thursday evening. The Evan Smith orchestra will furnish the music. Mr. and Mrs. O. F. CENTERVILLE, Ind. Elden Dynes,
grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Dynes, created a great amount of anxiety
Sunday amongst his relatives and
friends. He returned from a swim in the creek and being tired went to the hay mow and while there decided to take a nap. The nap lasted till midnight, meantime his friends hunted everywhere for him, nor did they discover his whereabouts until he awoke and came to the house, near the midnight hour.
GREENVILLE, O. Turning around
to see if his daughter was coming, Charles Mendenhall, railway mail carrier of this city, fell from his bicycle on North Broadway yesterday afternoon, inflicting a large gash in his head. Mendenhall and his daughter were en route home on bicytles. As
the father, who was in front, turned to look after his daughter, the front
wheel of his bicycle suddenly turned, causing him to fall, striking his head on the pavement. He was taken to
the office of a physician, where sev
eral stitches were required to sew up
the wound.
