for 25 years a member of the county

air board, who died suddenly WednesHay at his home four miles north of Eaton, will be held here Saturday at I p. m., In the Christian church, of which he had long been a member. The services will be In charge of Rev. Htley Baker, pastor, and Rev. Hugh A. Smith, a farmer pastor of the

church. Burial will be In Mound Hill cemetery. Leave For Convention. . National President V. V. Brumbaugh, Walter S. Tyrrell, Leslie Sawyer, Charles Harshman and Hobart Bucke leave Saturday for Newark, where they will attend a Phi Delta Kappa convention as representatives of the local chapter. The Rev. Charles F. Irwin will be formally installed as pastor of the Presbyterian church next Wednesday evening. The Rev. D. L. Myers, of Dayton .will direct the services, assisted by Rev. F. M. Kumler, DeGraff, O.: Rev. C. E. Tedford, New Carlisle, and Rev. Robert Dunaway, New Paris. A musical recital will be presented by

George McClellan has been employed as superintendent of the Israel township schools for the next school year, lie was in overseas service, having given up teaching to enter the eervice. To Dissolve Company. Stockholders of the Twin Valley Light and Power company will meet in West Alexandria, July 24, to dissolve the company, which was organized several years ago by farmers in the vicinity of West Alexandria, to furnish electric current to farmers for light and power. Current has been obtained from the traction company's lines. Wilkinson to Hospital. Thomas J. Wilkinson of Eaton, former well-known livestock buyer, has been removed to St. Elizabeth hospital, Dayton, for treatment. He has been ailing the last few years. Will Play Baseball. Eldorado and Eaton will clash at baseball here Sunday afternoon. The Eldorado aggregation is unbeaten thus far this season.

City Lodges

Eagles. Officials of the lodge will take final action next Wednesday night on the initiation of the 27 candidates who were elected to membership during the last dispensation and who have not yet reported for initiation. The Eagles' baseball team plans to contract with a team for a flat rate a week from Sunday, July 18. In case they get the flat rate the aerie will observe Ladies' Day and the women will be admitted free.

Elks. Representative Ernest Calvert, delegate to the Elks' national convention at Chicago, with the other members of the Richmond lodge who attended, vere expected home Friday. The con

clave closed Thursday. Ben Hur. Officers will be installed at the meeting of Ben Hur lodge next Wednesday night. The installation will be followed by a business meeting and a dance. Supreme officers of the main lodge at Crawfordpville and about 50 members of the Tndianapolis tribe attended the Ben Hur jollification here last week. K. of P. Members of the Uniform Rank will discuss plans for attending the national encampment next Monday night. The national conclave will be held in Cleveland, O., July 25-31.

Red Men. Red Men will install officers Friday night. Officials who are to be installed are: Sachem, Carl Thornhurg; Junior Sagamore, Ray Johnson; Senior Sagamore, Elmer Stephenson; Prophet, Carl Bennett. Eden Rebekah. Eden Rebekah lodge No. 30 will hold its last meeting of the summer. Saturday night. Council. Meeting of the council will not be held until September. ' Commandery. The meeting of the Commandery next Monday night' will be the last

meeting until September. Moose. Loyal Order of Moose will hold Its

meeting at the club rooms Monday night. Important business will not be

taken up until September.
