Red Pitchers Are Going Great Guns; Moron Feels Encouraged Over Showing CINCINNATI, O., July-8. Manager Pat Moran is considerably encouraged over the recent showing made by his pitching staff. Reuther has been going great all season, but Slim Sallee. Senor Luque and Jimmy Ring are rapidly rounding into world series form. Sallee has been holding the opposition to two or three runs. Ring and Luque, however, have been forced to hold other teams to one run to win, and have come through. Fisher and Eller are coming through and in addition, Moran has four recruit pitchers that have all showed promise in workouts. Thies, college right hander, has made the best impression. Moran delegated Reuther as the hurler to oppose the Boston Braves at Redland field Thursday afternoon. Luque, Sallee and Ring will pitch in the order named. H. S. STILL MOURNS OVER LOSS OF CARL RUNNELS Richmond high school was a heavy loser when Carl Runnells decided to go to work instead of high school. The student body is aware of this fact. Runnels in addition to being one of the most promising baseball players in Richmond, is a crack basketball player. He was captain of the Shamrock Independent amateur team last year. And the Shamrocks made an impressive record. Runnels is also a pood football player. Men!
