How much work would you get done during the day if your sweetheart were your stenographer? Charlie Ray tries it in his new picture, "Red Hot Dollars," amusing 6creen lovers at the Murrette Theatre this week, and the experiment Is far from successful. He finds it extremely difficult to think of business only while she's around and he's just as well satisfied when her father patches up an old business 4 quarrel and Bhe doesn't have to work
any more. "I understand now what a woman means .. Nen she says she 'won't be dictated tj, says Charlie, "and even in the picture it's hard to keep your mind on your letter-writing when the typist is a fluffy headed little beauty." You'll agree with him after you see Gladys George as the stenographer. "Red Hot Dollars" presents Mr. Ray in a characteristically youthful part. He stars as a young machinist in a foundry, saves hfs employer's life and becomes his protege, and finally wins a pretty girl and makes peace between two ancient enemies. It is a thoroughly enjoyable Paramount-Artcraft picture. MURRAY i William Fox has given us another ' new star and a welcome addition she . is to the list. Julius G. As soon as this discovery came into general use it was found that by its use artificial finger prints could be made. This impeded justice to some extent and in a few cases shattered the faith placed in fingerprint identification. RICHMOND. Once mere Mae Marsh comes to enthrall her steadfast following in a Goldwyn picture worthy of her remarkable talents. And never have they been given wider scope than in "The Racing Strain," which comes to the Richmond theatre Wednesday. Lucile Cameron (Mae Marsh) gives a Red Cross lawn fete at the Kentucky estate of her father, Colonel Cameron. There she meets Gregory Haines, a lieutenant just returned wounded from France, and Big Jim De Luce, who has brought her father to the verge of financial ruin through some wildcat stock transactions. Haines falls in love with the southern belle and Lucille shows she is fond of him, much to the annoyance of Big Jim, who covets her. De Luce learns that Haines, unknown to the Camerons, holds a mortgage on their estate. Angered by her father's taunts that they have been living on Haines" charity, Lucille orders her sweetheart from her home. Grieved beyond words, Haines leaves the Kentucky town and goes North. The Camerons go to Saratoga with their filly, Southern Pride, to race her in the Spa Sweepstakes. Big Jim enters his crack racer, Torpedo, in the same event. What follows makes a climax as unusual as it is thrilling. From 60 to 70 per cent of the world's production of copper is used in normal times in the electrical industry. Ill Health Often Due to Neglect of Kidneys and Liver
Many organs take part in assimilation of food, and a number are active in eliminating those portions of the food which are not taken into the blood for the upbuilding of the body. Of the eliminative organs, the liver and the kidneys are of major importance, and are most likely to be overworked and become diseased. When such Is the case, various troubles of a digestive and ellmlnatrve character occur, and such troubles are so frequent and so common that it is absolutely necessary to find some relief. Warner's Safe Kidney and Liver Remedy was compounded over 40 years ago to help equalize the wrrk of both kidneys and liver. How successful it has been in evidenced by its widespread sale and its value is attested by an immense number of appreciative users who through these many years have put it to the severest tests with the most satisfactory results. Old-time treatments were harsh and inefficient. Blue-jay is gentle, quick and eure. Now all corns are needless. All these pains can be avoided. To let corns remain while you pare and pad them is folly. You can stop a corn ache the moment it appears. You can end a corn completely before it can develop. Blue-jay has proved these facts to millions. It will prove them to you and tonight if you let it. Quit the old methods of dealing with corns and see what this new way means, i Your druggist sella Blue-jay.
