JOHNSON WILL NOT . BOLT; FAMILY ROW, HOT DEATH QUARREL CONCORD, N. H., May. 24. Senator Hiram W. Johnson, of: California, de dared in a political address here to day that he would not "bolt" the Republican party at Chicago if ha should not be chosen as the Republican pres
idential nominee there. "I now am engaged in a family quarrel, wholly a family quarrel," Senator Johnson said, "and when the selection is made at Chicago in two weeks the quarrel will be ended." Senator Johnson also spoke today at Greensboro, and will deliver several addresses in the state tomorrow. He told his audience at Greensboro that he came to North Carolina "fighting organized politics and organized wealth." Major General Ieonard Wood, another candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, will invade North Carolina tomorrow and will deliver speeches at Greensboro, Winston-
Salem and Asheville. CHICAGO, May 28. National committeemen who are gathering here for the opening of the hearing on contests Monday, received with interest today the reports of Senator Hiram Johnson's speech at Concord, N. C, in which he denied that he would "bolt" the convention if not nominated. The probable attitude of the senator in case of defeat in the convention has been the source of speculation for weeks along "Presidential row," and his pronouncement on the subject was received with visible relief. "I'm glad to hear that," said A.- T. Hert, of Kentucky, chairman of the
Convention Committee on Arrange
ments. "I have thought all along that would be Mr. Johnson's decision."

William A. Hughes, city attorney of Greenfield, brought out that Greenfield passengers are charged 18 cents for riding from the Indianapolis city limits to the trac

passengers make the same trip for a
5-cent fare. It was brought out that the fare
from Greenfield to the Indianapolis
city limits is 46 cents, and from Green
field to Indianapolis 64 cents, or 18 cents more for the trip inside of the city. Indianapolis citizens, particularly citizens of Irvington, who make use of tbe traction cars, make the same trip tor 5 cents. The Greenfield petitioners are asking that the rates for Indianapolis city passengers be changed. It was pointed cut that the interurban companies en-

De troit Vap orOil SioVo Get the Amazing Secret of Efficiency and Economy in this Famous Stove
Saturday and all next week our great Demonstration Sale of RED STAR OIL STOVES will be in progress. Don't fail to come and conte early, too as our quota of Red Star Ranges is positively limited by the factory. Come and see why the beautiful range is such a success, how it actually MAKES ITS OWN GAS from kerosene, and why it ends FOR ALL TIME the limitations of the ordinary oil stove. See why it permits you to roast, fry or bake ANYTHING as quickly and perfectly as any gas range. Lights, heats and operates as easily and quickly.
SEE THE "DOUBLE RING FLAME BURNER" Notice the absence of wicks or asbestos rings. The burner is directly beneath your cooking utensil. The heavy cast-iron burner gets red-hot and gives perfect vaporization. Thus it positively prevents all smoke and odor, and increases heating efficiency by at least 30 per cent ; in fact, you get 19 hours of perfect cooking and baking from one gallon of fuel much cheaper than gas. Come and witness the demonstration and get our special terms on them for this week.
Mr. J. L. Snyder, the factory representative, will be here all week and will demonstrate every feature of this wonderful stove. Come in and see it ; ask questions whether buying or not. Watch east window.
