MOTHERS HONORED IN EATON; DRY MEN SPEAK AT RALLIES
EATON, O., May 10. Special services marked observance of Mothers' Day in the local churches Sunday. Special sermons were preached at the Methodist church, by Rev. Bussard; at the Christian church, by Rev. Baker, and at the United Brethren church, by the Rev. Yingling, at 10:30 a. m. Rev. Murray conducted special services in the evening at the Universalist church. ' " Hanly at Temperance Rally. ' Former Governor J. Prank Hanly, of Indiana, spoke here Sunday evening in the Christian church, at a temperance rally, several of the local churches uniting in the meeting. The sermon was preached by Rev. P. V. Harris. The annual commencement exercises will cccur the evening of May 15, in the school auditorium. Lewlsburg Commencement. Annual commencement exercises of the Lewisburg high school will occur the evening of May 18. A class of 17 students will be graduated. . - Big Class Graduated Annual commencement exercises of the Lanier township centralized high school occurred Saturday evening in the school auditorium, wnen one of the largest classes within the history of the school was graduated. Dr. H. C. Mlnnich, dean of teachers' training college, Miami University, addressed the class. Ralph K. Ulrich delivered the class valedictory. Miss Elsie Stroup presented the class will, and the class prophecy was presented by Miss Mildred Eikenberry. After a brief address, M. D. Johnson, president of the board of education, presented the diplomas to the class. Rev. B. F. Petry offered prayer and pronounced the benediction. Four Teacher Re-Employed. Four of the present teachers of the
schools at Lewisburg have been reemployed for next year's school term by the board of education. They are: Mrs. Anna Wood, Katherine Rice, Helen Van Dyke and. Edna Locke. Their salaries have been fixed at $125 a month. Jefferson Seniors Honored. Twenty students in the senior class cf the Jefferson township centralized schools were graduated at the annual commencement exercises Saturday evening, which were held in the school auditorium. Prof. Jesse McMillan, Miami university, addressed the class ihe members of which were: Willard Morrison, Scott Hawley, Irene White, Iouls W. Murray, Nora Harrison, Sherman Miller, Iris Alexander, Guy Murray, Helen Oates, Cyrus Emrick. Leo Smith, Paul Northrop, Rhea Davisson, Harry Kessler, Marjorie McKeon, Charles Benson, Fred Brandenberg. Elsie Richards, Herman Shaffer and Ronald Freed. The Polish alphabet contains fortyfive letters.

in charge of all details. This committee and as large a number of citizens as possible will meet the trucks as they approach our city t 5:15 p. m. on May 19th. In this Wet will be about 25 trucks and 60 men. Upon arrival in town they will be parked on the east side of the court house.
.After a concert at 7:30 p. m., aw expert on farm hauling will talk. Ip was most emphatically stated that no trucks will be sold or offered for sale. A demonstration will be held .on C N. Tee tor's farm, 1 mile west of Hagerstown, Wednesday at 2:30 o'clock.
