WINCHESTER. Ind., April 23. All the 11 persons who were in the home

of Mr. and Mrs. Park Shade when the house was destroyed by a tornado a few weeks ago, are recovering. The house stood on the Greenville pike, east of Nashville. Mr. Shade Buffered a broken leg and Mrs. Shade was terribly bruised about the body. Clarabel Shade, 11 years old, had her front teeth knocked out and her upper jaw crushed. Her lower lip was nearly severed. A two-year-old child

City and Beech Grove, were held in the Christian church at Lynn Monday evening, April 26. Professor ; Thomas F. jjoran, head of the history ; department of Purdue university, 'made the address. O. H. Griest, coun!ty superintendent, presented the dijplomas, and an orchestra from Richjmond furnished the music. He bequeaths two $500 Liberty bonds to the American Friends Board of Foreign Missions, Richmond, the samp to be used in Missionary work in Africa. To his three daughters, Mahala Hinshaw, Amy Brumfield and Mary J. Moody, he wills all his household goods. During his life he disposed of all real estate and divided one half of the proceeds among his children. Poultry Men to Reorganize The Poultry Breeders' association will hold a meeting Wednesday evening in the Hickman and Rupe office for the purpose of reorganization and to make plans for the next poultry show. D. W. Callahan, former owner of the Winchester Democrat, was in the city Monday. He has purchased a half interest in an Urbana, Ohio, newspaper, and will move there soon. Epworth League Elects. Twentyone candidates took the Shriner's degree. Hazel Ford Is Dead. Hazel Ford, the young child of Mr. and Mrs. Carbon Ford, is dead at the home in Farmland. Secret Marriage Revealed. It hah just become known in Union City that Miss Mary Dotson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Dotson, of that city, was married five weeks ago to Harold Waggoner, of Greenville, Ohio, in Kentucky. The secret leaked cut when the young bride resigned her position in a local store to take up

her household duties. Ollie Wine, of Modoc, and Mrs. Treva Pegg Hornaday, widow of John Hornaday, of Farmland, were married by the Rev. Harvey Thornburg, Saturday. They will reside on a farm near Modoc. Infant Is Buried. The body of the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Crozler, of Muncie, was brought to this city Saturday for burial in Fountain Park. Mrs. Crozier is the daughter of Mrs. John Boltz. License to wed was issued Saturday to Percy G. Barefoot. 25, Union City, and Thelma Lucile Mangas, 20, Union City. Clarence Ozbun. 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dempsey Ozbun, died Monday at the home of his parents, four miles southwest of Lynn, following a two weeks' illness. Suit for breach of marriage contract was filed Saturday by Henrietta Yost against Joseph T. Fennell.

50 KILLED IN RAIL WRECK. SIMLA, India, April 28. Fifty persons were killed and fifty Injured in a train collision on the Oudh and Rohilkband railway near Moradabad, east of Delhi, Saturday. Four coaches were burned in the fire caused by the collision.
