UNION TOWNSHIP The Union Township commencement exercises will be conducted at the M. E. church

at College Corner Tuesday evening,

April 27, at 8 p. m. Assistant state Superintendent Benjamin J. Burris will deliver the address. The musical program will be furnished by the Barnard orchestra of Liberty. County Superintendent C. C. Abernathy will present the diplomas. The following students will graduate from the eighth grades: Viola Wadow, Raymond Muddle, Isabel Beard, Stanley Bake. Helen Bourne, Edna Parker and Mable Douglas. QUAKERTOWN. Ind. Mrs. Perry Brandenberg died Saturday at the Fayette Memorial Hospital, where she was taken one day last week for an operation. Mrs. Brandenberg was afflicted with cancer.

Mrs. Brandenberg was about fifty years of age, and is survived by her husband and several relatives. The funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 p. m., by Rev. Dr. Moore at the Dunlapsville church. Burial in adjoining cemetery. Mrs. Charles Davis, an aged lady, passed away at her home in Quakertown, after a short illness. Death was caused by paralysis. The husband, Mr. Charles Davis, died several days ago and his body was placed in a vault. A funeral service for Mr. and Mrs. Davis occurred at the residence Monday at 10 a. m., conducted by Rev. Moore. Burial was at Connersville, Ind. LIBERTY, Ind. The home of Mr. and Mrs. George Stanley, near Dunlapsville, was greatly endangered by fire early Sunday morning, when a blaze was discovered in a building

near the residence. The building,

which was located about 10 feet from the house, was used as a store room. A smoldering fire developed after some hot ashes had been emptied into a barrel In the building, but did not prove dangerous until about 5 p. m., Sunday morning, when it was discovered that the rear of the building was a mass of flames. The people of the neighborhood were summoned and their timely efforts checked the progress to the fire until very little damage was done to the residence. The contents of the building, among which were 20 cords of wood and $60 worth of Beaver board, were completely destroyed. Mr. Stanley carried insurance on the building amounting to $100 but the loss is estimated at three times that amount.

Infant Child Succumbs.

Harriett Ruth, the three year old1

daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Harlan, died here Sunday morning after an extended illness. The child suffered an attack of the influenza, which developed pneumonia, leaving one of the child's lungs badly effected. Harriett Ruth is survived by one brother,

Raymond, and three sisters, Gertrude, Carriette and Elizabeth, and the parents. Short funeral services were held Tuesday morning at the home, and burial was made in Connersville, Ind.

Most Soft Drink Sellers Here Charge Fair Prices The recent announcement of Stanley Wykoff, of Indianapolis that more than 7 cents was an unfair price for soft, drinks, will have Little or no effect on Richmond soft drink dispensers. Tuesday morning's canvass revealed that only one Main street merchant was charging 11 cents. The rest were selling tor six or seven cents. Wykoff ruled that seven cents was a fair price.
