Alkali in Soap Bad For the Hair

Soap should be used very carefully, if you want to keep your hair looking its best. Most, soaps and prepared shampoos contain too much alkali. This dries the scalp, makes the hair brittle, and ruins it. The best tiling for steady use is Mulsified cocoanut oil shampoo (which is pure and greaseless), and is better than anything else you can use. One or two teaspoonfuls will cleanse the hair and scalp thoroughly. Simply moisten the hair with water and rub it in. It makes an abundance of rich, creamy lather, which rinses out easily, removing every particle of dust, dirt, dandruff and excess oil. The hair dries quickly and evenly, and leaves the scalp soft, and the hair fine and silky, bright, lustrous, fluffy and easy to manage. Y'ou can get Mulsified cocoanut oil shampoo at any pharmacy; it's very cheap and a few ounces will supply every member of the family for months. Advertisement.

"I'm the happiest woman anywhere since 1 have been taking Vola-Tonic." said Mrs. Mabel Mason, S24 West Seventh street, Cincinnati, Ohio. "I was down in bed suffering intense misery and had been that way for ten weeks when I started taking Vola-Tonic. "I had influenza and didn't know a well day afterward. I had pains in my head and down my neck and intense cramps in my limbs and over my body. I was so weak I couldn't walk. If I tried to walk across the :oom I'd fall over against the wall and couldn't get along at all. "Finally, I got so bad I had to go to bed and had been there ten weeks when I heard about Vola-Tonic and started taking it. "Before I had been taking VolaTonic two weeks I was up out of bed and feeling fine and doing all my

work again. Since then I have taken at least ten bottles of Vola-Tonic and have kept improving all the time. "All Ihe pain and misery I used to have in my head and back and limbs is gone. I sleep like a baby every night and feel strong and refreshed when I get up mornings. "I eat big meals, too, without a bit of trouble afterward and have gained so much weight that my friends and relatives hardly know me. My strength has come back also and I can do all my housework, even my washing and ironing. "I can't begin to tell fully what Vola-Tonic has done for me and I want to recommend this medicine to everybody who is sick like I was." Vola-Tonic, "Builder of Strength." is sold in Richmond by the five Quigley drug stores and is sold by one druggist in cities and towns everywhere near here. advertisement.
