American Legion Band Is Assured for City An American Legion band to represent Harry Ray Post No. 65 Is assured. The first practice was held Thursday night in the Commercial club rooms. Using the men who reported Thursday night as a nucleus. Director Roland Nusbaum hopes to build up a band of 36 pieces. In spite or the fact that some of the men were unable to be present at the first practice and others were not provided with instruments the first meeting Indicated splendid enthusiasm. Ward captains will have charge of canvassing the city by wards and precincts for new members. Committees will be appointed by the captains who will secure the names of all the exservice men in thoir precinct. All men among the ex-service who are musicians will be asked to join the band regardless of whether or not they are members of the legion. The next meeting of the band will be held at eight p. m. next Wednesday night.
