Tennis and Baseball Plans For Glen Miller are Made By City Board of Works Tennis lovers may soon have a chance to engage in their favorite sport as a result of the plans which were discussed by the board of works Thursday morning. Although the board did not take any official action as to the construction of tennis courts in Glen Miller park it indicated that it was in entire sympathy with the net enthusiasts. Superintendent of Parks Edward Hollarn was asked to find out from local tennis players the best plan of operating the courts. A players' league or association, to operate the courts and to build a small club-house, has been suggested. Another plan would be to. charge a stated sum for each game and raise the necessary funds in that way. Three baseball diamonds will be laid out in Glen Miller park, where the boys may play any time of the day that they like except Sunday morning.
