P JOIN HARRY RAY POST; MAY OCCUPY c NEW QUARTERS SOON Thirteen new memberships In the American Legion were announced at the meeting of that organization In
the Commercial club rooms Wednesday night. These additions bring the total membership of Harry Ray Post No. 65, up to 1C2. Plans are now under way for an Intensive membership campaign, by which officials of the Legion hope to enroll every former service man In this territory. J. A, Connor, chairman of the executive committee, reported that he had purchased a considerable quantity of furniture for the Legion's new home. Mr. Connor was able to get the manufacturers to guarantee a fixed price and also secured a promise of July delivery. The work on the new headquarters is progressing very slowly on account of the scarcity of help, materials, etc.
It is the plan now, however, to purchase a supply of second hand furni
ture which can be used until tne new equipment arrives. May Occupy Quarters Soon.
- If this plan is carried out it may he possible for the former service men to occupy their new quarters in the K. of P. Building within the next few weeks, although final repairs and complete equipment will probably not be ready before the first of September.
The resolution committee was ordered to Bend a resolution of thanks to the Traveler's Protective association, thanking it for a donation of $50 which
the Legion has received.

she is co-operating with Rupert Bawlf, a young man who has given up a life of luxury to better carry on settlement work among the poor. Although Rupert is married, he falls hopelessly in
love with Missy. Oliver Cloyne a
friend of Rupert, offers to marry Missy, revealing the brewing scandal in its true light to her by showing her a newspaper clipping. She agrees and the result of this loveless marriage la a big surprise. The climax of the picture is a thrilling rescue from a burning tenement of the heroine by her husband, which cements their friend'
ship into a union of love. MURRETTE During one of Warren Chandler's trips abroad he was walking along one i of the principal thoroughfares of Lon-
