Floyd Hunt, of the Union pike, says that he has disked 26 acres of early sown wheat and put in oats. Mr. Hunt says that he will try to raise as many pigs as he did last year, and has had good luck so far with his spring farrowings. He believes that his fruit has not yet been damaged by frost. Oscar Lamb, who lived on the Hunt place last year, is now located in the Walnut Level. The manager of the elevator at New Madison, O., states that the cold winds of late March had a destructive effect on the dry wheat fields, especially where the plant was not deeply rooted. "The soil was blown from the plant," said he, "and th effect is now shown by the brown and wilted appearance of the wheat."

Several Wayne county farmers have made the same statement. Four cars of cattle, calves and hogs were marketed at Glen Miller on Saturday, regardless" of the strike. Three cars started east on Saturday night; the fourth car went on Monday. Richmond butchers have bought about a car of live stock at the Glen so far this week. j The Hollansburg co-operative store had a successful "opening" on Saturday, April 10, the store being crowded from early morning. Both town and

country people own stock and were present in large numbers. If you haven't pruned your fruit trees, don't delay. Regardless of

whether you gave the trees a win-1

ter spraying or not, don't neglect to do so when the buds begin to show signs of opening.

DR. J. H. WAGNER sfy beyond a doubt that

When a doctor uses a medicine himself besides prescribing it to his patients, he must know that it has merit. This is what Dr. J. H. Wagner, a prominent physician of Skate, Kentucky, has to say about Dr. Hartman's well-known remedy, PE-RU-NA: "I have used PE-RU-NA myself for catarrh and have given It to others for catarrh, bloating after eating and other ailments. It has

proved a success in all cases with old and young men and women. All speak well of PE-RU-NA. It Is the best of all tonics." Dr. Wagner, but of the fullness of his own personal experience, for the good of all sick and suffering, recommends a medicine which he knows to be good. You may be sure a doctor would not endanger his professional reputation by endorsing PE-RU-NA unless satisfied beyond a doubt of its value. Whether your trouble be a cough or a cold, or a more subtle catarrhal effectioa of the stomach, bowels or other organs, give PE-RU-NA a trial. The immediate improvement which you will see will sat-PE-RU-NA is what you need.
