Men in Congress choose as a back ground for a conversation which contains such phrases as "blowing up stuff," Intermingled with broken utterances concerning Germany. They recently journeyed to San Pedro, California, to film some shipyard scenes for Rupert Hughes' "The Cup of Fury." On the way they discussed the scenes which included a plot to blow up a ship. As they neared Rort MacArthur, they came under the Fort MacArthur, they came under the took a marked Interest in the picture company on overhearing some of the conversation between Hunter and his prop man. which took on an exceedingly bad color when the detectives learned that they had a big supply of powder. wonderful swordsmanship Is one of
the features of this strongly dramatic Btory. Farnum is a type of actor who has what Is known as personality plus. He has more than a pleasing screen presence and It is In these romantic roleB that he always Is at his best. "The Adventurer" Is a delightful story, and the man voted to be the best lover on the screen is given ample opportunity to display his art. MURRAY Glimpses of how the English nobility live lend particular Interest to Vitagraph's latest super film of which Earle Williams is star. This production is "When a Man Loves," which will be shown at the Murray Theatre on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Some of the most important scenes are laid In and around two beautiful country homes modelled after the style of the Aaanors of English nobility. The chief characters are members of Europe's title aristocracy. Mr. Williams plays the role of John Howard Bannister, the young son of Lord Cecil Bannister, master of Bannister Hall. John is desired by many dowagers in the highest social circles as a husband for their daughter. The great wealth and title he is to inherit makes him the "catch" of the season. As the story reveals John falling, not at all against his will, into a prearranged romance Tvith one young bud who in the end reveals she does not love him, and then being pursued by another, the spectator has a revelation of British custom. The habits of peers and peeresses at home and at formal gatherings provides atmosphere throughout. MURRAY It is to be regretted the bill which opened yesterday at The Murray closes tonight, for it is well-balanced and contains variety throughout. The laughing hit goes to Robinson and CUT THIS OUT OLD ENGLISH RECIPE FOR CATARRH, CATARRHAL DEAFNESS AND HEAD NOISES If you know of some one who is troubled with Catarrhal Deafness, head noises or ordinary catarrh cut out this formula and hand it to them and you may have been the means of saving some poor sufferer perhaps from total deafness. In England scientists for a long time past have recognized that catarrh Is a constitutional disease and necessarily requires constitutional treatment. , Sprays, Inhalers and nose douches are liable to irritate the delicate air passages and force the disease into the middle ear which frequently means total deafness, or else the disease may be driven down the air passages towards the lungs which is equally as dangerous. The following formula which is used extensively in the damp English climate Is a constitutional treatment and should prove especially efficacious to sufferers here who live under more favorable climate condi1 tions. Secure from your druggist 1 ounce of Parmint (Double strength). Take this home and add to It Y4. pint of hot water and a little granulated sugar; stir until dissolved. Take one tablespoonful four times a day. This will often bring quick relief from distressing head noises. Clogged nostrils should open, breathing become easy and hearing improve as the inflammation in the eustachian tubes is reduced. Parmint used in this way acts directly upon the blood and mucous surfaces of the system and has a tonic action that helps to obtain the desired results. The preparation is easy to make, coBt3 little Rnd is pleasant to take. Every person who has catarrh or head noises or is hard of hearing should give this treatment a trial. Advertisement. SHE COULDN'T DO A BIT OF WORK 2 MONTHS System Became Run Down All Over But Vola-Tonic Has Brought Back Her Strength. IMPROVED EVERY WAY Mrs. E. M. Smith, 2518 Gilbert avenue, Cincinnati, O., suffered with her 1 stomach two years and got so bad recently that she wasn't able to do a bit of her housework. "I took Vola-Tonic and now I am a great deal better," Mrs. Smith said. "I was in such bad condition before I took Vola-Tonic that I could hardly keep food on my stomach at all. I had headache all the time, too, and I was very nervous. "For two months recently I felt so badly that I wasn't able to do any of my housework. "Then I started taking Vola-Tonic. I hadn't taken more than a few doses of Vola-Tonic until I could see results. "I continued taking Vola Tonic and now my stomach is in much better condiion and my nerves are about normal. I am much stronger than before, also. "I know I have derived a great deal of benefit from Vola-Tonic and I want to recommend this medicine to everybody who feels weak and run down and needs more strength." Strength depends upon the stomach to a great extent. Let the stomach get out of order and you get out of order all over. To keep strong, your stomach must properly digest food and take nutrition from it to nourish the organs and tissues of your body. If the stomach fails and nutrition is lacking, the organs become ailing and tissues break down. Then weakness gradually comes. Vola-Tonic, "Builder of Strength," puts the stomach in good condition. It also brings a good appetite, good blood and good nerves and thus brings strength and better health to the weakened, run down man or woman. Vola-Tonic is being specially introduced in Richmond by the five Cuigley rtniu stores. Advertisement.
