Church Thursday night, at which time it was announced that $16,000, an average of $28 per member, was contributed for the Methodist centenary movement and benevolent purposes, by the congregation during the year just passed. N. Logan, deputy collector of internal revenue for Richmond and vicinity. The definition follows: "All sales of soft drinks, Ice cream,, ice cream sodas, sundaes, or other similar articles of food or drink, from a soda fountain, for consumption in or in proximity to the place of business where sold, are subject to tax. This is true whether or not such place of business Is an Ice cream parlor, similar place of business, hotel, restaur-
