INTERCHURCH WORK ' HEADS nc INDIANA MEET IN CAPITAL

Sixty-seven men and two women In Indiana have accepted appointment as directors of county - united financial campaigns for the drive which the Inter-church world movement will conduct April 5 to May 2, said Frank J. Ressler, united financial campaign director of Indiana, Thursday. The denominational financial directors and directors who will have charge of the united campaign, were attending a conference at Indianapojis Friday, where they will study the sur

vey which will be presented by the Rev. J. F. Russel of the survey department of New York, Thirty denominations, representing 60 per cent of the protestant church membership of the United States, will participate in the financial drive for $336,777,572, the sum of the total campaign budget for 1920, The portion of the budget to be paid in 1920 is $175,448,349, The amount raised will be ised by 182 boards and organizations officially related to the SO denominations co-operating in the movement to rarry on the regular work of missions, education and philanthropy, both in America and in foreign fields, The Inter-church world movement forms a clearing house for these denominational groups participating in the campaign, and will not undertake to administer work in any of the fields covered by the denominations or their executive boards, William Stump, head of the RichJnond business college, with Roy Babylon, representing the United Brethren, were to attend the Friday meeting from Richmond, Walter B. Royce, of Indianapolis, head of the district, vVhieh embraces Wayne, Franklin,

Fayette, Henry. Rush, Union and Hancock counties, with headquarters here, was also to attend.

Church Federation Calls (or Easier Ingathering of New Church Members The church federation of Indiana has sent out a call for Easter Ingatherings of new members all over the state, to conclude the evangelical campaign which has been in progress for several months, Richmond and Wayne county pastors heard Friday. The call, which was signed by Edgar

L, Williams, executive secretary of the federation, urges Sunday schools to have decisions for Christ on the Sunday preceding Easter, and that church workers be organized by pastors for special effort to bring new people to the pastor's notice, County Campaigns. Several counties In Indiana have had county wide campaigns, and will round up the results Easter Sunday. The work has been especially successful in Allen county and Wayne county, At Fort Wayne, 17 simultaneous meetings produced results. One pastor received 124 new members. In this city Grace M. E. church, of which the Rev. A. II. Backus is pastor, received 176 new members, Leaders in Work, The leaders of the evangelistic department of the federation, who have

been promoting state-wide campaigns are: The Rev. T. W Grafton, chairman; the Rev. Edgar L. Williams, secretary, and the Rev Philip I Frick, president. An evangelistic committee of about SO pastors and laymen has worked with these men. It was stated at the opening that the goal of the campaign was 100,000 more members of Sunday schools and 20,000 more members to attend prayer meetings.
