It is time to put the brake of patience on the feelings when we are stirred by personal wrongs (v. 5). Patience is self-control, it is the power of remaining cool when wronged, and. of refusing to act hastily (v. 7). The impatient man has lost his soul, loit control r.t it ; it is like a run-away liorso (v. 21). Suggestive Thoughts. The mother is patient with the follies of her child because she loves the child. "We shall never gain true patience until we love people. God is patient. Consider how slowly and patiently He. has worked in creation; and how patiently He has worked with man.
