U. S. FLIGHT BOATS TO TACKLE PACIFIC
NEW YORK, March 9. The United States navy is preparing two giant flying boats for the first flight across the Pacific ocean.. The E-boats, much larger than the NC-4, which made the first transatlantic flight, have been planned and construction will begin within a few days. The proposed route lies from San
Francisco to Hongkong, China, 7,616 nautical miles. Stops will be made at
Honolulu, Wake Island, Gaum and Manila.
The transpacific flight has been
made possible, it is said, by an invention of Edson Gallaudet, of East Greenwich, R. I., whereby three Liberty engines are coupled to one 18-foot propeller, each engine being geared down so as to permit the propeller to function at Its maximum efficiency. The new boats will have three power plants, each containing three highcompression Liberty engines, or nine motors to each ship. The new boats will be triplanes.
with a wing spread of 140 feet, as compared with a spread of 126 M feet of the NC boats. Each boat will have a wing area of about 6,000 feet and 'carry a crew of 16 men. The hulls will be 67 feet long, 22 feet longer than that of the NC-4. The cruising
radius of the new boats is estimated! at 2,100 nautical miles, nearly twice j that of the NC craft. Motors to Be Separate. Three high compression motors will drive each of the three giant propellers. Each unit of three motors will be installed in a separate nacelle, thus making possible repairs while in actual flight, something which is said
to have been impracticable - hitherto on all airplanes in the world. It is estimated that enough gasoline can be carried to permit a cruising radius of 2,500 land miles without stopping. Under the plans prepared the giant craft will be able to carry a load of 10 or 11 pounds to the square foot of wing surface, or 30 tons, more than double that of the navy's transatlantic boats.

DOCTOR WANTS TO HELP THE AILING
SEEI(INGRELIEF That is Why He is Recommending Tutona to People Whose Systems Need Rebuilding. INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., March 9. There should be no one more familiar with medicines, and therefore none more capable of judging of the merits of a preparation than the doctor. That is why we are giving the statement made a few days ago by Dr. J. A. McDonald, a highly respected and well known physician of Indianapolis, as to what he knows of the beneficial properties of Trutona. Dr. McDonald Las had fifty years of practice in the medical world, and speaks from experience, as he has used Trutona, and knows just what it did for him. "I know of no medicine that I could recommend to the aged, weakened and run-down men and women that would surpass Trutona," Is the tribute the venerable physician pays the perfect tonic. "My attention was attracted to Trutona, at a time when I was nervous and generally broken in health, from over work. This caused a feeble condition of my nerves and I seemed to give out physically, entirely. I could not raise my hand to my head before the use of Trutona." "I have given this tonic a fair trial and as a result my strength has returned and my nerves are as steady as ever. I have no interest in the Trutona Medicine Company, but I have given f.ll of my life to the relief of suffering humanity and I am going to continue that policy by heartily indorsing and recommending this wonderful tonic, Trutona," Trutona's healthful action reaches every portion of the body. Performing its work faithfully and efficiently, Trutona rebuilds diseased nerves and tissues, Creates a healthy appetite and assists in the assimilation and digestion of the food. Trutona is now being introduced and explained in Richmond at Clem Thistlethwaite's Drug Store. Advertisement.

BLAST SHAKES PANAMA CITY; FLOATED TANKER IS DESTROYED PANAMA. March 9. Cristobal was shaken ' and windows were shattered all over the city Saturday by an explosion In the hull of the United States shipping board tanker Marne,
which was recently refloated after
having been sunk by gunfire following
the outbreak of fire on board. The Mar- was raised late last month and towed to a dock at Cristobal and was being refitted when the explosion took place. There is 'one sure way that never fails to remove dandruff completely, and that is to dissolve it. This destroys it entirely. To do this, just get about four ounces of plain, ordinary liquid arvon; apply it at night when retiring; use enough to moisten the scalp and rub it in gently with the finger tips. , By morning, most, if not all of your dandruff will be gone, and three or four more applications will completely dissolve and entirely destroy every single sign and trace of it, no matter how much dandruff you may have. You, will find, too, that all itching and digging of the scalp will stop instantly, and your hair will be fluffy, lustrous, glossy, silky and soft, and look and feel a hundred times better You can get liquid arvon at any drug store. It is inexpensive, and four ounces is all you will need. This simple remedy has never been kown to fail. Advertisement.
