SEE VENUS IN DAYLIGHT "He's foolish enough to go star-gazing in the daytime," used o be a common way of saying a man's faculties were weak. But star-gazing in the daytime right now would produce results which probably would surprise those who used this method of description, for anyone can walk out on the street and see the planet Venus even at noon, wihout the aid of instruments. Of course the atmosphere must be clear. It would be necessary for the observer to know where to look also to be successful. Venus is the very large star seen In the west during the evening at certain seasons. At present the star Is found a little west of the sun.
