What Do You Want? Just what do you want? High costs and low wages, or low costs and high wages? Anybody with one whole thought in his head will say that he wants low costs with high wages. And we can have this if each of us will do his part. There is one way to get what all the country needs. That one way is work. We can't reduce prices until we increase production. We can't increase production until every mother's son and daughter, buckles down

to the job with the determination to produce to the limit. There is no place for the slacker in business, or anywhere else. It is time each of us understands his responsibility. It makes no difference what you are doing; but it makes a lot of difference how you do it. Your job may be in the "front office," or in the factory, or in the home; wherever it is it's

YOUR JOB, and you can't be fair to yourself or anybody else unless you give that job the best

there is in you. You can't reduce the cost of living by howl

ing about it. But you can reduce it by doing more and better work. As soon as you speed up

production, prices will have to drop. They will have to drop because the market will have all the goods it wants. After you have shown what you can do it will be time to talk. Now is the time to work. Take an interest in your work. All of us can do more than we are now doing. Get on the job with a cheer. Produce and watch the prices fall. Make every minute count. Make your dollar worth what it used to be worth. IT'S UP TO YOU.

We see that W. K. Jr.'s yacht has "been held up by the government authorities and relieved of $18,000, or is it ?18,000,000, worth of old-fashioned inspiration. The reports say that W. X. Jr. was not aboard the yacht at the time, which in our opinion is the greatest example of self-restraint ever brought to light in the hfstory of this -world. How a man can own that much, and keep away from it, especially in these timVs, will never be quite clear to our rather feeble intellect. A pretty Louisville girl, upon the announcement of the verdict of the jury in her favor, got up and kissed

that If he demands any other fee than that, in view of the present high price of kisses quoted in the average breach of promise case, that lawyer is a profiteer and, furthermore, a mean old thing.

GLADYS Though popular in the chorus and frequently in use as the heroine of popuar fiction, where Gadys de Montmorency was considered the heighth of feminine elegance, Gladys comes from a dignified old Roman family, the Claulian gens. The Claudll gave much fame In early Rome and figure In most of the tragedies of the city and the Emperor Claudius, through his conquests In Britain, spread his name throughout Europe. r The first feminine Claudia was the daughter of a British prince who sent her greetings to St. Timothy In St. Paul's epistle. "Tanlac Is The Most Wonder- . ful Medicine On Earth" She Gratefully Declares. It 1b, Indeed, doubtful If there has ever been a statement .in all the many thousands that have been made about Tanlac, that Is more Interesting or more clearly and forcibly defines the remarkable powers of the medicine than tho following from Mrs. MoHio Griffith of 2845 East Indiana street, Evansville, Ind. Mrs. Griffith, "Aunt" Molly, as she is affectionately called by her many friends, while discussin Tanlac, which has proved of such great benefit to her, seemed to be profounldy grateful and told the special Tanlac representative she wanted her statement published in the papers so that the people may read what Tanlac has done for her. Here is what she says: "When ray next-door neighbor told me how much good Tanlac has done her and advised me to try it, I thought

it impossible for it to help me. I had suffered bo long and tried so many different medicines without any benefit that I just didn't believe anything could help me, but I know better than that now. I believe as firmly as I believe anything that Tanlac has saved my life. Not only that, I am so well and happy that I go all over the neighborhood rejoicing over the good -Tanlac has done me. "I had suffered for twenty years, in bed today and up tomorrow, seeing no peace during all that time. I have been under every kind of treatment and even went through an operation, but nothing did me any good. I suffered from stomach trouble, painful disordered kidneys, and indigestion.

Many forms of Rheumatism come from a tiny disease germ that Infests the blood and multiply by the million, spreading pain and torture In their wake.

Those who have not yet real

ized the truth of this statement, i and expect to get rid of the disease by the use of liniments and lotions and other locally applied treatment, will continue to suffer , from Rheumatism and will

find their condition growing steadily worse all the time.

Rheumatism is more than a mere local disorder confined to the locality of the painful parts. It cannot be rubbed away, because it is a deepseated disease that has its source in the blood supply. The tiny pain demons,

the millions of little

germs that cause the disease must be-reached and eliminated from the blood before real relief can be had. S. S. S. has been successfully

than fifty years. It is the most thorough and reliable blood remedy because it searches out and eliminates all disease germs which infest the blood. Mr. E. P. Bratches of Dallas, Texas, says in a recent letter: "I was down for several weeks with rheumatism in my knees, could not work. I commenced S. S. S. and before I used two bottles I could get around fairly

well. I continued using S. S. S. until I used twelve bottles and I am now entirely well. I am n carpenter and now can do my work all O. K. I feel as young as I did at thirty although I am fifty. I highly recommend S. S. S. for Rheumatism of the joints." S. S. S. has done wonderful things in the treatment, of Rheumatism, particularly that form

of the disease which comes from the tiny germ that gets into the blood, multiplies rapidly, and carries the torturing pain throughout the system. S. S. S. is sold by druggists everywhere. It is a fifty year old remedy, and its use is no experiment, as it has been on the market for over half a century, and is known throughout the length and breadth of the land.

Now Is an excellent time to treat your Rhumatism with S. S. 6., while the system is undergoing its annual spring cleaning, and throwing off impurities.

Go to your drugstore and get a bottle of S. S. S. today, and begin to take a rational, sensible

disease ; treatment for Rheumatism that

will show results. For free expert medical advice regarding your own case, write fully to Chief Medical Adviser, 178
