CARD OF THANKS I desire to thank the neighbors and frtends for their kindness shown during the illness and death of my wife, also to Rev. Goeina and Rev. Craven for their consoling words, and for the floral offerings. J. CLINTON BROWN
CARD OF THANKS Wo wish to thank our friends and neighbors for the kindness shown and the many floral offerings during the
illness and death of our beloved wife
and mother. "We extend our grateful
ness to the Rev. Jones for his words of
comfort. MACK DARNELL AND FAMILY.
OBITUARY Clara Ann Davenport Darnell was born February 22, 1865 at Boston, Indiana. Her childhood and young womanhood was spent near her home and among her friends. . As ono of l)er many friends has said, she had no enemies. Her ambition to be Independent and self-supporting carried her to the point where her health was seriously impaired. She was conscientious and painstaking In her work, and over manifested a kindness toward all. On Sept. 1, 1882 she was united In marriage to Fayette McMullen Darnell, and removed from her native town to Richmond, where she had spent the remainder of her happy married life. jhShe was always a loving, faithful wife ynd mother. The Interests of her comfi panlon and family were ever first In her mind, denying herself, that they might have. During her last sickness, which lasted only a week, she showed a patient resignation to the Will of God and a confidence that all was well. She longed to live for the sake of the dear home ties. She died the twenty-third
day of February, 1920, being 55 years and 1 day old. She leaves a husband, two daughters, two sons, 5 grandchildren, one sister and two brothers, who are bowed down with grief. Nothing Is sufficient in this sad hour to appease the anguish of a great grief but the Blessed Savior, as He bends over the broken hearted today does give comfort, and gently beckons the tear blinded eyes from the scenes of earth to the eternal home where there is no more pain or death and the loved one Is happy with her Savior. A precious one from us has gone A voice we loved is still, A place is vacant In our home Which: never can be filled. God In His wisdom, has recalled Tho boon His love had glvui And, though the body slum " here, The soul is safe In Heaven , We loved her, yes, we loved her But angels loved her more, And they have sweetly called her To yonder shining shore. The golden gates were opened, A gentle voice said: "Come!" And with farewell Just spoken She calmly entered home. The home circle is broken For Mother has gone And left her dear husband And children to mourn. But if we are true to the trusts that are given We will meet her again In the -beautiful -Heaven.
