Heart and Beauty Problems By Mrs. Elizabeth Thompson
Dear Mrs. Thompson: Five years go I kept company with a girl my own age. . She was exceptionally pretty, talented, educated in colege. and from a very fine old and wealthy family. Her parents and my parents had been pals from childhood. . They were most happy because they were sure we would marry in time. " Then I went away to a large city,
where I met a fellow who I thought!
was a "mut." I felt sorry for him and on coming back brought him. who had become nearly a pal, because I could do anything with him. I put him to work with us and he stopped at our house. He went with me everywhere and I thought I was educating him. One Sunday I took my lady friend and secured another for him. We took a long trip to a lake, but this fellow couldn't leave my friend alone. He stuck like glue and I had failed to educate him In etiquette. He called the girl on long distance and made a date. Finaly I discharged him. He went away and I found out that he went to see her very often. I did not go back to see her. I decided I would forget her by going to school. When I got there, she was there, ready to spin a gauzy web around me, because the other fellow had gone to war. It was two months before I fell, but I was determined to play my part and so I told her I loved her and we would be married. I bought a car and took her everywhere.

Delegates representing 15,000 Eastern Ohio coal miners, in special convention, at Bellaire, voted to strike April 1, unless the operators accept their terms. COLUMBUS Mrs. Margaret Prevey, of Akron, Ohio, who began a fight in Franklin county courts against extradition to Chicago to answer a charge of being a member of the Communist party, will have to remain in jail.
Then the war. was over. She told the other fellow she did not care for him and not to come back. ' After she had said this I went with another girl more beautiful than she and I told her I did not care for her at all and never would. She wrote the other fellow, who came back immediately. She was going to marry the boy with the bad record for generations back. He had no money to go ahead with, but I hope they come out all right. Will you tell me who is the fool, the girl or myself? GLAD TO HAVE FOUND HER OUT I think you were the fool. You hardened your heart for revenge. It is not up to you to punish; a higher hand with more sense of justice could
take care of that.
You say of the man, "He 'has no money to go ahead." Perhaps not. but If he has love in his heart the girl will be happier with him than she would be with you, since you find Joy in cruelty. Try to be more gentle and remember that riches are nothing if you have not love in your heart.

A grouch is the worst work ot nature, but the man who thinks he must be silly all the time in order to be entertaining, is about as bad.
